What Pelé’s mansion was like
Pelé’s mansion had approximately 315 m² of private area. The property featured six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a living room with double-height ceilings, a dining room, and a renovated kitchen.
The house also included a leisure area, a television room, an office, a communication room, a playground, and garages. A deck or terrace spanned the entire width of the residence on the first and second floors.
This space had access to the master suites and expanded the living area of the mansion. The two-story property was used by Pelé and his family as a summer retreat.
Location and exterior
The residence was located in the Hamptons, a region of luxury villages in the cities of East Hampton and South Hampton, in the state of New York. The area also includes celebrity homes.
Lady Gaga, Madonna, Steven Spielberg, Tiger Woods, and Khloé Kardashian are among the names mentioned as residents of the area. Pelé’s house was close to Clearwater Beach and had access to the beach.
In the outdoor area, the property featured a pool, an outdoor shower, and an open area. The set reinforced the use of the property as a resting space for Pelé and his family.
Use by the family and end
Pelé used the mansion as a vacation retreat. Two of his daughters lived in the city, a factor that helped explain the residence’s permanence as a family gathering point.
Pelé passed away at the age of 82, on Thursday, December 29, at the Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo, due to multiple organ failure caused by the progression of colon cancer.
In September 2021, he underwent colon surgery and continued treatment with repeated sessions of chemotherapy. In early 2022, metastases were detected in the intestine, lung, and liver.
