Exemption for Enem 2026 is now available on the Participant’s Page and denied requests can be contested until May 19.
Participants who requested the exemption for Enem 2026 can now check if they were granted the benefit. The result was made available this Wednesday (13) by Inep, responsible for administering the exam. The consultation must be done online, through the Participant’s Page, using the Gov.br account.
Those who did not have their request accepted can still file an appeal within the deadline set by the institute. The procedure also started this Wednesday and will remain open until May 19. The information is from the Guia do Estudante.
Despite the release of the result, the candidate who received the exemption is not automatically registered for the exam. The official registration for Enem will be mandatory for all participants, including those granted the fee exemption.

How to check the exemption for Enem 2026?
To verify the request status, the student needs to access the Participant’s Page and log into the system using the Gov.br account details.
After logging in, the status of the request appears right on the initial area of the platform. Inep has not yet informed when the official registration period for Enem 2026 will open.
Appeal for the exemption of Enem 2026 is now available
Candidates who had the benefit denied can attempt a new analysis of the request until next Tuesday (19).
During this stage, it will be necessary to explain the situation presented and attach documents that prove the information previously submitted.
Among the accepted proofs are:
- School transcript
- Proof of income
- Registration number in CadÚnico
- Other documents requested by the system
The result of this additional analysis is expected to be released on May 25.
Who can request the exemption?
The zero-fee benefit is intended for specific groups defined by Inep and the Ministry of Education.
The exemption is available to participants who meet at least one of the criteria below:
- Students enrolled in the last year of high school in public school in 2026
- People who completed all of high school in the public network or as full scholarship holders in private schools, provided they have an income of up to one and a half minimum wages
- Members of low-income families registered in CadÚnico
- Participants of the Pé-de-Meia program
The rules were maintained for the current edition of the exam.
Deadline to justify absence ends this Wednesday
In addition to the announcement of the Enem 2026 exemption, this Wednesday (13th) also marks the end of the period for justifying absence from the previous exam.
This stage is aimed at candidates who received an exemption in Enem 2025 but missed both exam days. Justification is necessary for those who wish to request the exemption again this year.
Calendar released by Inep
The deadlines already informed by the institute include the dates for appeals and the release of the final result of the analysis.
Check it out:
| Stage | Date |
| Period for appeal | May 13 to 19, 2026 |
| Result of appeals | May 25, 2026 |
Meanwhile, the official schedule for Enem 2026 registrations is still awaiting release.
Even with the approval of the exemption, students will need to follow the next announcements from Inep to ensure participation in the exam. The benefit only waives the fee payment but does not replace the mandatory registration in the official Enem system.
