In South Africa, the vehicle will cost 299,900 rand, which is equivalent to R$ 92,604 in direct conversion. This partnership between Toyota and Suzuki, established in 2017, was a strategic move that allowed both brands to explore new possibilities in the compact vehicle market.

With 3.99 meters in length, it falls into the category that pays lower taxes, making it an affordable option for many consumers.
In India, this model offers two engine options: a 90 hp 1.2 naturally aspirated engine for the entry-level versions and a 100 hp 1.0 turbo mild-hybrid engine for the higher-end versions.
However, in South Africa, the Starlet Cross arrived with a 105 hp 1.5 naturally aspirated engine, similar to what powers the Yaris lineup in Brazil.
According to industry sources, the Starlet Cross has a modest list of equipment, reflecting its proposal to be a compact and economical SUV. Among the highlights are LED headlights and taillights, stability control, hill-start assist, two airbags, and a multimedia center with a 7-inch screen.

Despite being an attractive option, especially considering its competitive price, Toyota has chosen to take another route for the Brazilian market. According to information, in the country, the brand will focus on producing the Toyota Yaris Cross in Sorocaba (SP), scheduled to start at the end of this year, with expected arrival at dealerships in 2025.
This model, which will be produced locally, is expected to meet the specific demands of the Brazilian market and promises to be a strong competitor to models like the Honda HR-V, Hyundai Creta, Jeep Renegade, and all the others.
