UFMG Is Opening Calls for On-Site Tutors in Distance Education Courses. Positions for School Management and Special Education, with Scholarships of R$ 1,100.

The Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), in partnership with CAPES and the Open University of Brazil (UAB) program, announced the opening of two calls aimed at hiring tutors for distance education. The positions are designated for professionals who will work in the Specialization courses in School Management and Special Education, with a commitment of 20 hours per week and a monthly scholarship of R$ 1,100.

With free registration, the application period runs from July 21 to August 4, 2025. In addition to immediate vacancies, the calls foresee the formation of a reserve list for future opportunities.

Call 1807/2025: Specialization in School Management

The first call seeks professionals for the Specialization course in School Management. There are 6 immediate openings, 4 for general competition and 2 reserved for specific groups, in addition to the reserve list.

Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Education, or degrees in Applied Social Sciences, Languages, or Humanities is required.

Another mandatory criterion is proven residency in Minas Gerais and availability to work, including on Saturdays when requested.

Selection: The sole stage of the process will be Document Analysis, with eliminatory and classificatory character. The minimum required score is 50 points, following criteria defined in the call.

Call 1808/2025: Specialization in Special Education

The second call covers the Specialization course in Special Education.

As with the previous call, 6 immediate positions are offered, 4 for general competition and 2 for reserve, in addition to the reserve list.

Requirements: Candidates should have a degree in Pedagogy, Special Education, or another Bachelor’s degree in the field of Education.

Residency in Minas Gerais and availability to fulfill the 20-hour weekly workload are also required.

Selection: Classification will be based on Document Analysis, and candidates must achieve at least 60 points to remain in the process.
