Federal University of Pernambuco Offers Positions for Distance Learning Tutors Focused on Inclusive Education. Applications Until 20/01.

The Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) is accepting applications for the Simplified Selective Process No. 06/2024, aimed at selecting tutors for the Extension Course “Training for Teaching and Management for Education of Ethnic-Racial and Quilombola Relations.” The opportunity provides positions for distance learning tutors, professionals who will work in distance education, aiming to contribute to the training of educators and managers in basic education on topics related to inclusive education and equity. The selection process is being conducted to fill positions for tutors specialized in this field of activity.

Course Objective and Target Audience

The course is an initiative of UFPE, promoted by the Secretariat of Open and Digital Education Programs (SPREAD), in partnership with the Coordination of the Open University of Brazil (UAB).

With a duration of 120 hours, the course aims to offer continued training for education professionals, focusing on ethnic-racial relations and quilombola school education.

With the open positions for distance learning tutors, UFPE provides an opportunity for those who wish to contribute to inclusive education through distance learning.

Positions and Requirements for Tutors at the Federal University

The selection offers positions for the role of tutor, with the type of hiring as UAB/CAPES scholarship holder, with a term of up to 5 years.

The selection process allocates 25% of the positions to self-declared black, brown, indigenous candidates, people with disabilities, transgender, and transvestite individuals, according to CAPES Ordinance No. 309/2024.

To compete for the distance learning tutor positions, candidates must have a completed higher education degree in Pedagogy or Teaching License, with knowledge of ethnic-racial interactions, and it is necessary for them to have experience in basic education teaching or in Distance Education (EAD).

Additionally, candidates must present the Self-Declaration Term and specific supporting documents for each reserved group.

Selected tutors will receive a scholarship of R$ 1,100.00, according to CAPES regulations.
