Still without a forecast for the Brazilian market, the new mid-size Honda Ridgeline pickup stands out for being a great middle ground between a sturdy work truck and a comfortable SUV for leisure. With a refined and modern design, the new pickup promises to please both those who need a versatile vehicle for everyday use and those seeking comfort and style.

New Honda Ridgeline Pickup Delivers 280 Hp of Power

For this year, the Honda Ridgeline gains an extra touch of off-road capability with the addition of the new trim level TrailSport. This model comes equipped with General Grabber A/T Sport all-terrain tires, additional protection under the body, and an exclusive Diffused Sky Blue paint.

However, updates for all trims include a larger center console and the Honda Performance Development (HPD) package, which offers a distinct grille, black fender flares, exclusive wheels, and HPD graphics. Despite these improvements, the innovative audio system in the bed of the new Honda Ridgeline pickup has been removed from the options list this year.

Honda Ridgeline Can Tow Up to 2,267 Kg

Even with the TrailSport model and its more robust General Grabber tires, the Ridgeline maintains a quiet and comfortable ride on the road. The electrically assisted steering provides a direct and precise feel, making steering agile and enjoyable. Thus, the model is an excellent choice for those seeking ruggedness and comfort.

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline has a maximum towing capacity of 2,267 kg. While this is sufficient for various needs, it is lower than the towing capacity of competitors like the Chevy Colorado and the Ford Ranger, which can tow between 910 and 1,133 kg more. However, the nearly 725 kg payload capacity of the new Honda Ridgeline pickup aligns with that of the Colorado and is only slightly below that of the Ranger.

It is important to mention that the Ridgeline is Honda’s only pickup. It pioneered the mid-size segment, which uses a unibody structure, like the Fiat Toro, Ram Rampage, and Renault Oroch. In the United States, it faces competitors such as the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz.

The interior of the model stands out for its comfort and practicality. Although it uses hard plastics below the dashboard, the overall materials are of high quality. Rear seat passengers enjoy the most space among all mid-size rivals, and the foldable armrests in the front seats enhance comfort.

The rear seat, split 60/40, can be folded up, creating enough space to transport a standard-size bicycle. However, transporting large items can be a challenge since the rear doors do not open completely.

The new Honda Ridgeline pickup is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This system includes a physical volume knob and icons on the screen that enhance usability. Additionally, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard features, providing modern and efficient connectivity.
