The Journey of Boram: The Beginning of a New Era of Mobility
With the goal of catalyzing the transition from fossil fuels to electricity in Brazilian mobility, Boram Electric Motors, with less than two years of operations, is already positioning itself as an emerging powerhouse. Originating from the Northern region of Brazil, the company has already demonstrated a significant track record: it operates eight stores, offers five models of electric motorcycles, has sold over 1,200 units, and projects revenue of R$ 69 million for this year.
Since its inception in 2020, Boram’s mission has been to revolutionize the landscape of urban mobility in Brazil, replacing the combustion system with electric. Based in the Amazon capital, Boram Electric Motors was the first to introduce electric motorcycles to the North of the country. With less than two years in the market, the company plans to open its first factory in Manaus, with an inauguration scheduled for July of this year.
Rapid and Inevitable Rise: Impressive Numbers
Boram’s trajectory so far is noteworthy. The company boasts eight operational stores, five models of electric motorcycles in its catalog, 1,200 units sold, and an impressive R$ 13 million in revenue in 2022. Additionally, Boram projects a 500% increase in revenue, equivalent to R$ 69 million, in 2023.

So far, over R$ 10.2 million has been invested in the new factory, with R$ 3.6 million allocated to the factory’s infrastructure, which has the capacity to produce up to 2,000 units per month, and an additional R$ 6.6 million for the acquisition of materials for the initial months of production. This stage marks the beginning of Boram’s transition from importer to local manufacturer. Currently, the company employs 44 engaged employees and expects to generate an additional 25 direct and 25 indirect jobs in the industry, along with another 30 jobs in stores and distribution centers.
National Expansion: Boram and Sustainability
Boram’s next step is to expand its business across Brazil. Currently, its stores are located in the states of Amazonas, Rondônia, and Roraima, but the company plans to open an additional 25 flagship stores in all Brazilian capitals by 2027. These new units, known as Flagships, will serve as hubs for the brand’s satellite stores, which will be distributed throughout the country.
Boram is not content with simply offering a new mobility option. It also wants to change the way people experience urban mobility by promoting sustainability and innovation. The company is already planning the installation of charging and battery swapping stations powered by renewable energy. Furthermore, Boram is committed to excellent customer service and after-sales support, having launched Boram Service, the largest electric mobility service shop in the Northern region of Brazil, in its Flagship stores.
The company offers a range of motorcycle models, including scooter, chopper, new chopper, sport bike, sport cross, and kick scooter, with affordable prices and a high level of comfort and safety. Boram is ready to lead the electric mobility revolution in Brazil.
