Aeronáutica Opens New Selection Process With Opportunities for Various Regions of the Country; Initiative Offers Positions Without Competition for Those Interested in Working in the Field of Security and Defense.

The Air Force Command announced the opening of a new selection process for the recruitment and registration of volunteers interested in serving in the Temporary Military Service in the area of Security and Defense (SED). The opportunities are aimed at working in the units of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) in various regions of the country, with incorporation expected between the years 2025 and 2026. The highlight of this selection process is that it offers positions without competition, aimed at those who have already completed the Officer Training Course for the Reserve (CFOR) of the Army and hold a higher education degree.

Positions Distributed in Several Brazilian Cities

The positions without competition in the Aeronautics are available at strategic operational centers of the FAB located in different regions of the country. Among the cities with opportunities are:

  • Rio de Janeiro (RJ)
  • São Paulo (SP)
  • Manaus (AM)
  • Recife (PE)
  • Canoas (RS)
  • Brasília (DF)

The selection focuses on reinforcing the institutional security and defense manpower of the FAB, through the incorporation of qualified professionals who will assume temporary functions, on a voluntary basis, according to the needs of the Force.

Who Can Participate in the Selection Process

To apply for the selection process of the Aeronautics, it is necessary to meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Brazilian citizen, male;
  • Be at least 18 years old and not have turned 41 years old by October 13, 2025 (date of incorporation);
  • Have completed the Officer Training Course for the Reserve (CFOR) conducted by the Brazilian Army in CPOR or NPOR, in the branches of Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery, Engineering or Communications;
  • The CFOR must have been completed a maximum of 12 years ago;
  • Hold a higher education degree (bachelor’s, licentiate or technologist) in any field.

Registration and Stages of the FAB Selection Process

The FAB selection process will be conducted in several stages, all detailed in the announcement. See below the schedule and phases of the selection:

Stages

  • Electronic Document Submission (EED);
  • Validation of Digital Documents (VDD);
  • Review of Digital Documents (RDD);
  • Digital Curriculum Evaluation (ACD);
  • Initial Concentration (CI);
  • Health Inspection (INSPSAU);
  • Physical Conditioning Assessment Test (TACF);
  • Final Concentration and Eligibility for Incorporation (CF).

Important Dates

  • Registrations: from April 2 to April 23, 2025;
  • TACF (Physical Conditioning Test): between August 20 and August 29, 2025;

Ranks and Functions After Incorporation

Those approved in the selection process will be called to participate in the Technical Instruction Stage (EIT) and, upon incorporation, will be declared as First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant or Aspirant to Officer of the Convoked Officers Corps (QOCon), according to the rank they held in the Brazilian Army.

During the stage, temporary military personnel will engage in activities related to the institutional security of the FAB, focusing on the defense of installations, support in operations and maintenance of internal order in areas under the responsibility of the Aeronautics.

Opportunity to Serve Without the Need for Public Competition

This selection model, which offers positions without competition, is an important alternative for professionals with military and academic training who wish to contribute to national defense, even temporarily. The Temporary Military Service is limited in time, with possible extensions according to current legislation and the needs of the Air Force.

In addition to providing a high-level professional experience, joining the Aeronautics through a voluntary selection process offers a unique experience in military operations, organizational discipline, and strategic activities related to national sovereignty protection.
