The only oil and gas licensing round in Brazil this year will be held on December 3, said the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) last Friday (11).
The open area program (Permanent Offering) will offer 708 exploratory blocks in the basins of Camamu-Almada, Campos, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Jacuípe, Pelotas, Pernambuco-Paraíba, Potiguar, Santos, and Sergipe-Alagoas, as well as three marginal oil accumulation areas: Rio Ibiribas (Espírito Santo), Miranga (Recôncavo), and Juruá (Solimões).
Currently, 57 companies are registered to participate in the bidding, including major international groups such as ExxonMobil, Karoon, Murphy Oil, Petrobras, Premier Oil, Rosneft, Shell, Total, and Wintershall. The registration details and the complete list of companies can be accessed here.
