This Friday (21), the announcement of the new Brigade Military RS contest for the position of soldier was published. The high school level contest aims to fill 1,200 positions and the salary is R$ 5,944.85. This public contest is a great opportunity for those seeking professional growth and financial stability.
Find Out What Is Necessary to Participate in the Brigade Military RS Contest
The public contest seeks candidates with complete high school education, aged up to 25 years, a minimum height of 1.60 m for women or 1.65 m for men, and a National Driver’s License (CNH) category B or higher.
For the high school level contest, it is also necessary to have Brazilian nationality, not to have been dismissed from public service, to be up to date with electoral obligations, not to have been convicted in a final criminal proceeding, with compliance of the published penalty, and to be up to date with military obligations, through proof via official document stating that the candidate has served or has been definitively discharged from Initial Military Service.

It is worth mentioning that the responsibilities of the State Military position at the First Class Soldier Level – High School Career, among others provided by law, include executing activities related to public order maintenance and preventive policing.
Regarding quotas, the high school level contest reserves 192 positions for black individuals, 12 for indigenous peoples, and 12 for trans individuals. The remaining 984 positions are open to general competition.
Submit Your Registration for the Brigade Military RS Contest
Registrations for the public contest are open until April 22, ending at 5 PM. They must be performed through the Fundatec website, the organizing body of the high school level contest.
The registration fee is R$ 118.79. Before registering, candidates should read the announcement and ensure they meet all the required qualifications. At the time of registration, candidates must upload a recent digital photograph of their face, where their face and shoulders must be visible.
The objective test, scheduled for June 8, will require the resolution of 50 multiple-choice questions in a maximum of three and a half hours. The questions will cover topics related to Portuguese language, mathematics, computer science, general knowledge, legislation, human rights, and citizenship.
In addition to Porto Alegre, there will be testing in Cachoeirinha, Novo Hamburgo, Canoas, and São Leopoldo. In the other stages of the Brigade Military RS contest, still with no defined dates, candidates will undergo health examinations and physical training evaluations, psychological assessments, and social investigations. The organization of the contest is the responsibility of the Foundation Universidade Empresa de Tecnologia e Ciências (Fundatec). Physical Fitness Exam
In the high school level contest, for the pull-up exercise, the candidate must perform 5 repetitions, with the option to bend knees to avoid touching the ground. Touching the ground or any part of the support bar after the exercise starts, using gloves, or resting the chin on the bar, among other actions, will not be allowed.
For the rowing abdominal exercise, within a minute, the candidate must perform 40 sit-ups and female candidates must perform 32 sit-ups. Lastly, for the running exercise, within 12 minutes, a distance of 2,500 meters must be covered for male candidates and 2,100 meters for female candidates.
