For The Third Year, Group Promotes BV Woman In Action, With Training and Networking Meetings For The Professional Development of Female Employees Across Latin America
Bureau Veritas, a global leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC), is promoting BV Woman In Action for the third year, an initiative aimed at the career development of women who aspire to hold leadership positions. The Group’s pioneering program has already trained over 50 professionals, achieving gender equity in more than 30% of its leadership positions. In the next 12 months, participants from seven Latin American countries will take part in training, projects, mentoring, and meetings with executives and specialists from various fields to enhance their personal and professional skills.
“BV Woman in Action demonstrates the Group’s commitment to the professional development of women in leadership roles. The program fosters a greater sense of belonging among our female employees and creates a supportive environment for growth and strengthening the presence of women in prominent positions within our operations,” says Mariane Prado, Director of Communication and CSR at Bureau Veritas in Latin America.

This is the first mentoring program from Bureau Veritas focused on developing hard and soft skills for female employees aiming to take on leadership roles in their areas or in other sectors of the Group. Over 12 months, a select group of women will receive training on various topics such as project management and organizational culture, to later apply this knowledge in the development of new projects for the Group. Future leaders will participate in networking meetings with participants from various countries in Latin America, encouraging the exchange of experiences and promoting cultural exchange, as well as showcasing their talents to other countries. The selected participants will also receive individual mentoring with senior executives from the Group to assist in career development, with guidance and direction.
Launched in 2021, BV Woman In Action is directly aligned with Bureau Veritas’ commitment to two UN SDGs: Gender Equality and Decent Work and Economic Growth. The first edition had the participation of 20 Brazilian female employees. The following year, the initiative expanded to train women from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru. This year, professionals from the seven Latin American countries will be selected.
