More than 1,654 opportunities open with productive expansion and implementation of a third shift starting in July

Initially, BYD announced 1,654 job openings for its unit in Camaçari, in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador.

Furthermore, the hirings are directly linked to the implementation of the third production shift, which will allow for continuous operation.

Thus, the factory will operate on a 24-hour-a-day regime starting in July, as informed by the company itself.

Even so, the measure reinforces the automaker’s strategy to expand its industrial presence in Brazil.

Productive expansion accelerates deliveries in the country

Furthermore, according to Build Your Dreams (BYD), the expansion of operations aims to increase productive capacity.

Consequently, the company intends to accelerate vehicle delivery throughout the national territory.

Therefore, the expansion of the Bahian unit represents an important move within the automaker’s industrial planning.

Application channels and job vacancy dissemination

Currently, vacancies are being made available through the Worker Information and Support Center (CIAT) of Camaçari.

In parallel, interested parties can also apply through the company’s digital platform.

However, as informed by Sine Bahia to TV Bahia, there will be no vacancies available on Tuesday (28).

Even so, there is a forecast for future dissemination at the Sine unit in the Bahian capital, although without a defined date.

Prioritized regions and available positions

In this context, the selection process prioritizes professionals from Camaçari, Salvador, Mata de São João, and Dias D’Ávila.

Thus, the initiative seeks to strengthen local and regional hiring.

Among the main positions offered, highlights include:

  • Internal driver
  • Quality inspector
  • Truck driver
  • Logistics operator
  • Equipment operator
  • Electrical technician
  • Mechanical technician
  • Production operator

Thus, the opportunities cover different operational and technical areas of the factory.

Selection process criteria and guidelines

According to BYD, there is no specific minimum age requirement to participate in the selection process.

However, candidates need to meet the requirements of each position.

Furthermore, the company emphasizes that it does not charge any fee for participation.

Similarly, it also clarifies that it does not send call-up letters, warning about possible scams.

Continuous operation marks a new industrial phase

Finally, with the implementation of the third shift planned for July, the factory will enter continuous operation.

With this, the Camaçari unit will operate fully, consolidating its productive expansion.

Thus, the opening of vacancies directly accompanies this industrial advance — but how will this change impact the local job market in the coming months?
