Detran-SP Auction Takes Place in March and Offers Cars and Motorcycles Starting at R$ 900; Check the Requirements and Learn How to Participate in the Event
The São Paulo State Department of Transit (Detran-SP) announced on March 21 the dates and items available for the upcoming vehicle auction. The Detran-SP auction includes cars and motorcycles starting at R$ 900 that were seized due to infractions and were available for viewing until this Friday (21). Bidding starts at R$ 900 for cars and R$ 1,100 for motorcycles (fit for circulation).
Detran-SP Auction Starts Today (March 24, 2025)
In addition to cars and motorcycles starting at R$ 900, the Detran-SP auction also includes parts and scrap that can be reused, as well as scrap for melting. The event will take place starting this Monday (24), in the city of Jundiaí, São Paulo state.
The Detran of São Paulo state offers 147 preserved vehicles fit for circulation, 250 with usable engines (fit for reuse), 27 salvageable scraps with unusable engines (damaged engines, but other parts can be salvaged), and 7 unusable scraps for recycling or melting.

The cars and motorcycles starting at R$ 900 classified as fit for circulation were seized for infractions in the region; however, they can return to public roads. Nevertheless, the regularization and documentation is the buyer’s responsibility, including any possible fees.
The Detran-SP auction is not responsible for the parts and does not accept complaints or returns. Before making a bid on cars and motorcycles starting at R$ 900, interested parties were able to view the items until this Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM. The session in which bids take place will be this Monday and will extend until the 26th.
List of Some Cars and Motorcycles Offered in the Detran-SP Auction
In this edition of the Detran-SP auction, the lowest bid for preserved models is R$ 900 for a 2000 Chevrolet Corsa Super. The cheapest motorcycle is a Honda CG 125 Titan, from 2003, starting at R$ 1,100.
The most expensive is R$ 55,000 for a Fiat Strada Volcano. It is worth mentioning that the starting bid is the minimum offer that a buyer can make for an item. The value tends to rise as the bids come in. Among the other inexpensive items in the Detran-SP auction are:
- Volkswagen Polo 1.6 from 2004 for R$ 6,000;
- Fiat Siena Fire Flex from 2008 for R$ 1,300;
- Toyota Corolla from 2004 for R$ 12,300;
- Honda CBX 250 Twister motorcycle from 2003 for R$ 1,800;
- Honda Biz motorcycle from 2007 for R$ 1,700;
- Ford Ecosport 1.6 from 2003/2004 for R$ 5,200;
- Hyundai HB20 1.0 Comfort from 2014 for R$ 2,200;
- Ford Fiesta from 2004 for R$ 4,600;
- Renault Clio from 2007/2008 for R$ 3,500;
- Renault Sandero from 2011/2012 for R$ 7,000;
- Citroen C3 from 2007 for R$ 6,000;
- Fiat Palio Fire from 2009/2010 for R$ 6,500.
Learn How to Participate in the Detran-SP Auction
Each auction lasts up to four days. The first day is dedicated solely to preserved vehicles. Therefore, any adult with a CPF can participate. It is not necessary to have a national driver’s license.
Exceptions may include public servants working at Detran, the Civil Police, or Military Police of the State of São Paulo, outsourced and contracted by Detran, Military Police, or Civil Police of the state, relatives up to the second degree of Detran-SP servants, as well as second-degree relatives of the auctioneer.
