Presented As Tiguan L Pro In China, Volkswagen’s New SUV Will Have Hybrid Versions And Will Be Manufactured In Brazil
During the Beijing Auto Show, Volkswagen announced the launch of its new and impressive seven-seat SUV: The Volkswagen Tyron. As the successor to the Tiguan, this new SUV can accommodate up to 7 people inside, with an incredible (and huge) 2.79 meters of wheelbase, 4.73 meters in length, 1.85 meters in width, and 1.68 meters in height, according to the Auto Esporte website.
The turbo engine of Volkswagen’s new SUV also stands out. This is because it is powered by gasoline or diesel, both 2.0, assisted by a 48-volt system, with front-wheel or all-wheel drive, meaning the SUV features a hybrid system. The Brazilian version of Volkswagen’s SUV will be the plug-in hybrid (PHEV), with a 1.5 engine and another electric one.

The Design Of Volkswagen’s New Vehicle
The Volkswagen Tyron SUV follows the same line as the standard of European vehicles. It features connected headlights linked by a wider bar, horizontal chrome trims, and a black glossy grille.

Hyundai sells an executive minivan that looks like a VIP room on wheels: Custin carries 7 people, uses a 1.5 turbo engine with 168 hp, 8-speed automatic transmission, and costs around R$ 157,000 in direct conversion in Vietnam.
-
The 7-seater Toyota that seems too cheap to exist in Brazil: Rush has a 1.5 engine, manual or automatic option, and a converted price close to R$ 81,000, while here families need to aim for much more expensive SUVs.

The 2012 Mitsubishi Pajero Dakar diesel shows 314,000 km and still draws attention for its reputation for durability; the seven-seater 4×4 SUV handles trails, but signs of severe use may conceal losses for used car buyers.

Peugeot publicly acknowledged the errors of the PureTech engine, which caused serious failures in hundreds of thousands of cars, and introduced the new Turbo 100 as a definitive solution, a 1.2 turbo tested for over 3 million kilometers that replaces the faulty belt with a more durable chain.
The vehicle’s wheels can range from 17” to 20” and feature a 5-spoke design. At the rear, the SUV has a light bar, and even the brand’s logo is illuminated, bringing even greater emphasis on the manufacturer’s name.
Volkswagen’s decision to bring a successor to the Tiguan has a reason, as despite the SUV already having a third generation (which is not sold in Brazil), the model will be discontinued in other markets.
