[supsystic-social-sharing id=’1′]The Oil Industry in Brazil Is Beginning Today a Historic Milestone Amidst Brazil’s Worst Financial Crisis of All Time, the Recovery of the Fossil Fuel Sector. At this moment at the Windsor Hotel (RJ), the 14th round of exploratory oil block licensing is taking place. There is a plethora of entrepreneurs representing 32 large operating companies. Last week on the 21st, people from the sector were already talking among themselves and making pre-agreements about the auctions.
Of all the companies participating, 8 of them have no business ventures in Brazil and eighteen are foreign. Among the major players in the competition are Petrobras, Total, BP, and Shell, but they are not very interested in smaller blocks, which will be more contested by small and medium-sized companies. It is worth noting that half of the companies competing are specialists in land wells worldwide, so the onshore blocks will also see fierce competition here.
