Onshore delegation went to the Minister of ME to discuss the Program for Revitalizing Oil and Natural Gas Exploration and Production Activities in Onshore Areas

Petrobras has put several onshore oil fields up for sale, but the organizers are concerned, as the intention is to sell the onshore fields before the 2018 elections. Senator Garibaldi Alves Filho (MDB/RN), led a team that went this Wednesday (30) to the meeting of the Minister of Mines and Energy Moreira Franco, to ask for explanations about the progress of the program for Revitalization of Activities for Exploration of Oil and Natural Gas in Onshore Areas and how sales of onshore fields will be carried out .

Onshore fields offered for sale by Petrobras

Petrobras seeks to sell the exploration, development and production concession rights in four sets of onshore fields, in Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte and Sergipe. Although the concern of the Union and the federal government is in the offshore auction, onshore fields generate jobs, investments and increase income in the regions where they are located. A great example is the Northeast region, which after the drop in onshore exploration and production activities, suffered huge losses.
