The Military Police of Sergipe (PM SE) has announced the editals for the long-awaited public contest that offers 335 vacancies for various positions. The contest for the Military Police of Sergipe encompasses different levels of education, catering to both candidates with high school diplomas and those with higher education. The vacancies for the military police contest are distributed as follows:
- 3rd Class Soldier: Requires completed high school;
- Combat Officer: Requires a degree in Law;
- Health Officer: Requires specific higher education in the fields of Endocrinology, Psychiatry, Dentistry (General Practice), and Veterinary Medicine.
In addition to educational requirements, candidates must meet physical and age requirements. It is necessary to be between 18 and 35 years old at the time of registration and have a minimum height of 1.60 m for men and 1.55 m for women.

As for the responsibilities, the approved candidates will be responsible for patrolling, whether on foot, by bicycle, motorcycle, or vehicles, monitoring and traversing different areas. During patrols, they are alert to any suspicious activity, such as criminal behavior, drug trafficking, or violations of traffic laws.
The PM Officer performs command, direction, and leadership functions in military police activities and organizations, also coordinating overt, covert, and secret policing, assisting the command, managing human and logistical resources, and participating in the planning and execution of preventive actions and police operations.
Registrations and Salaries for the Military Police Contest
Registrations for the public contest of Sergipe will be open from November 22 to December 20, exclusively through the portal of the Selecon Institute, responsible for organizing the event. Those interested in the vacancies of the Military Police contest will be required to pay a fee, which varies according to the desired position, being R$ 120 for the position of soldier and R$ 160 for officer positions.
It is important to highlight that there is the possibility of exemption from the fee for candidates who meet certain conditions, such as blood, bone marrow, or breast milk donors, in addition to those enrolled in the Unified Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico). The period to apply for the exemption will be from November 5 to 8. A career in PM SE offers salary perspectives with remuneration based on a subsidy.
The soldiers start with R$ 1,320 during the training course, moving to R$ 3,696.04 as 3rd Class soldiers. Throughout their career, they can reach the rank of sergeant, with a subsidy of R$ 9,877.31. The officers start with R$ 4,938.65 during training (trainee officer). The top of the career, at the rank of colonel, can yield up to R$ 27,418.75.
How Will the Public Contest Work?
Candidates for the vacancies in the Military Police contest will go through various phases. The objective and essay tests are scheduled for January 19, 2025, in Aracaju, with applications in the morning and afternoon shifts depending on the position.
In addition to the objective test, candidates will undergo a written test on the same day. For soldiers and combat officers, a composition on a topic indicated by the bank will be required, with 20 to 30 lines. Candidates for health officer must prepare a dissertation on a clinical case related to their specialty. The next stage consists of a Physical Aptitude Test.
