Vacancies and Salary: What You Need to Know
The contest offers a total of 30 vacancies for officers, all designated for the state of Bahia. Of these, 21 are for open competition and 9 are reserved for black candidates, in compliance with state legislation on quotas.
During the Officer Training Course (CFO), approved candidates will receive a stipend that increases progressively over the three years of training. The amounts are:
- US$ 2,630.83 in the first year,
- US$ 3,069.31 in the second,
- US$ 3,507.78 in the third.
At the end of the course, officers can be employed with an initial salary of approximately US$ 3,507.78, in addition to benefits such as a career plan, job stability, and additional allowances that can further increase the amount.
Who Can Participate? Important Requirements
To apply for a vacancy, interested candidates must meet a series of requirements, including:
- Age between 18 and 30 years by the last day of registration;
- Complete high school education;
- Minimum height of 1.60m (men) and 1.55m (women);
- Be up to date with mandatory military service (for men);
- Be a voter and have full political rights;
- Have a National Driver’s License (category B);
- Prove physical, mental, and psychological fitness through exams and tests.
Another crucial point is demonstrating moral integrity, which is done through negative certificates issued by police and judicial authorities, both state and federal.
Selection Process: How Selection Will Be Held
The contest is divided into two main stages, consisting of qualifying and eliminatory assessments. The main phases include:
- Objective test, with 80 questions on general and specific knowledge;
- Discursive test (essay);
- Psychological evaluation;
- Physical tests, which assess endurance and physical fitness;
- Medical and dental exams;
- Social investigation, which checks the candidate’s conduct history;
- Document examination, which certifies the correctness of the provided information.
The Officer Training Course (CFO), the final stage of the process, lasts three years and is conducted on a full-time basis. During this period, cadets undergo practical and theoretical training in areas such as operational tactics, leadership, and crisis management.
Registrations: Dates and How to Participate
Registrations have been open since December 5, 2024 and will run until January 5, 2025. The entire process must be carried out on the official contest website, organized by the State University of Bahia (UNEB).
- Registration fee: US$ 150.
- Exemption: Candidates registered in the Unified Cadastre for Social Programs (CadÚnico) may request a waiver of the payment on December 5 and 6, 2024.
