The Positions Offered by the Merchant Marine Contest Are for the Position of Level 3 Specialized Professional Fisherman
The registrations for the Merchant Marine contest for admission to the training course for maritime professionals are now open. In total, there will be 25 positions for the Level III professional fisherman role. See other news:

To participate in the contest, applicants must have completed elementary school and a recommendation from a navigation company (except for fishing drivers and professional fishermen, provided they present proof – CIR – of more than 1 year of boarding).

The necessary documents for registration are:

- school certificate/diploma;
- updated proof of residence;
- voter registration card and election clearance certificate;
- social security number (CPF);
- identity document;
- certificate that the male candidate is up to date with military obligations;
- proof of payment of the Union Collection Guide (GRU);
- completed registration form;
- CIR proving more than one year of boarding for fishing drivers or professional fishermen;
- recommendation from a navigation company
In-person registrations will be accepted until March 9th, 2020, at the Port Administration Office in the city of Itajaí, Santa Catarina, located at Rua Prefeito Paulo Bauer, No. 1055, Downtown. The participation fee is R$ 8, and payment must be made through the Union Collection Guide issued via the website www.dpc.marmil.br.
The stages of the Merchant Marine contest:
- knowledge test, eliminatory and classificatory;
- presentation of medical certificates and performance of the physical fitness test, eliminatory;
- presentation to the execution body – Del. Itajaí and enrollment.
The written test will be multiple choice consisting of 20 questions on Portuguese and mathematics and will be administered on March 21, 2020, in Itajaí/SC. Regarding the locations and times, they have not yet been disclosed.
