The São Paulo State Health Department is Taking Another Step Toward the Implementation of the SES SP Exam.
The announcement of the bidding process was published in the state official gazette this Thursday, July 13.
The exam aims to fill a total of 229 vacancies at the Sanitary Surveillance Center (CVS). In this text, you will find all the relevant information about the SES SP exam, including the distribution of vacancies, starting salaries, stages of the selection process, and other important details.
Distribution of Vacancies and Salaries
All 229 vacancies available for the SES SP Exam are for positions that require a higher education qualification. Starting salaries range from R$2,184.24 to R$8,943.22. Below is the distribution of vacancies by position:

- Technical Health Assistance Agent – 109 vacancies
- Nurse – 83 vacancies
- Physician I – 35 vacancies

It is important to highlight that the starting salary for the Technical Health Assistance Agent position varies according to the Incentive Prize (PIN). For 50% of the PIN, the salary is R$2,184.24, and for 100% of the benefit, it is R$2,823.24, with a weekly workload of 30 hours.
For the Nurse position, the starting salary is R$2,603.17 for 50% of the PIN and R$3,478.17 for 100%, also with a weekly workload of 30 hours. In the case of the Dentist, the salary varies between R$2,831.61 and R$3,081.61, depending on the percentage of the PIN, and the weekly workload is 20 hours.
For the Physician position, the workload was not indicated in the authorization, with the starting salary varying according to the Medical Productivity Prize (PPM). The values range from R$3,223.24 to R$8,943.22.
Selection Process and Schedule
The selection for the SES SP Exam will consist of several stages. After the definition of the organizing committee through an electronic auction, scheduled for July 26 at 10 a.m., it will be possible to confirm the exact date of the announcement publication. New information will be released soon. As soon as the announcement is published, applications must be accepted for a minimum period of 15 business days.
To ensure transparency and equal opportunities, the exam will be divided into eliminatory and classificatory stages. The initial stage will consist of objective tests, which will comprise a total of 60 questions. The distribution of the questions will be as follows:
- Portuguese Language – 7 questions, weight 1
- Public Administration/ Public Policies – 10 questions, weight 1.5
- Public Health – 10 questions, weight 1.5
- Computer Skills – 3 questions, weight 1
- Specific Knowledge – 30 questions, weight 2
The tests will be administered in the cities of São Paulo, Campinas, Marília, and São José do Rio Preto. In addition to the objective tests, the candidates’ degrees will also be considered for the final classification.
