Residential Condominium Inspired by Biblical References Uses Names of Sacred Cities in Israel for the Blocks and Bets on the Evangelical Public, Increasingly Present in Baixada Fluminense. Project Proposes Housing with Religious Identity and Complete Infrastructure.
According to a report by the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, the launch of the Residencial Clube Manancial da Fé, in Nova Iguaçu, Baixada Fluminense, marks an unprecedented trend in the Brazilian real estate sector: the creation of condominiums specifically targeted towards the evangelical public, with biblical references in every detail of the project.
The venture, which includes 22 apartment blocks named after sacred cities in Israel, relies on the strong evangelical presence in the region to offer, in addition to housing, an experience of faith and religious identity integrated into daily life.
According to the latest data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), about 40% of residents over 10 years old in Nova Iguaçu declare themselves evangelical—a figure significantly higher than the national average of 26.9%.

City in India turns trash into currency: 1 kg of bottles and plastic packaging becomes a full meal at the “trash café” that has already removed 23 tons from the streets and has become a weapon against hunger, pollution, and landfills.
This demographic profile underpins the strategy of businessman Alcindo Plácido, 55, who leads the project with the proposal to unite “comfort, spirituality, and security in one place”, as per official disclosure.
Thematic Residential for Evangelical Public
Manancial da Fé offers apartments in two sizes: 44 square meters, with two bedrooms, and a 51.5-square-meter version that includes a garden area.
The infrastructure includes swimming pools, sports courts, a gym, gourmet space, gardens, and a pet area.
The units can cost up to R$ 260 thousand, with financing available starting at R$ 600 monthly.

The project plans the construction of 420 apartments, all distributed in blocks named Jerusalem, Jericho, Bethlehem, Nazareth, and Bethany, among other cities that, according to the entrepreneur, refer to the Judeo-Christian tradition.
According to Plácido, the inspiration to bring the “Holy Land into Brazil” is related to the quest for an environment where daily life reflects values and religious references shared by a large part of the residents.
The businessman has a history of projects with this profile: in the 1990s and in 2008, he attempted to launch similar ventures but faced obstacles such as financial crises of construction companies and low adherence.
Just in the last decade, he managed to consolidate the Reserva da Paz, also in Nova Iguaçu, a development without the same amenities but which became a local reference in security and family living.
Security and Religious Identity in the Evangelical Condominium
Security and religious identity are highlights for those living in or planning to live in Manancial da Fé.
The sales coordinator of Manancial da Fé, Paula Barbosa, currently lives in Reserva da Paz and emphasizes that the feeling of security and the atmosphere of tranquility are major attractions.
According to her, the condominium houses a significant proportion of local religious leaders, which, according to resident testimonials, contributes to the distancing from the violence that marks part of the region.
According to the Violence Atlas 2024, Nova Iguaçu is among the hundred most violent cities in Brazil, reporting 35.8 murders per hundred thousand inhabitants.
However, for the residents of Reserva da Paz, the protected environment, with rules of coexistence based on family principles, makes a difference in daily life.
It is estimated that about 70% of the residents of Reserva da Paz are evangelicals.
The condominium convention establishes rules to strengthen harmonious coexistence, such as encouraging alcoholic beverages to be consumed discreetly and within residential units.
Plácido insists that despite the strong appeal to the evangelical public, access to the venture is not restricted: according to him, there is no exclusion of residents for religious reasons or sexual orientation, in respect of current Brazilian legislation.
The businessman reports already having sold properties to people from different family profiles, including same-sex couples.
Marketing Strategies for Religious Real Estate Venture
The success of Manancial da Fé, according to Plácido, is also due to targeted communication.
Instead of investing in large advertising campaigns, the venture is promoted primarily in local evangelical temples and during Sunday services.
“Denominations such as the Assembly of God, Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, and Quadrangular Gospel Church are spread throughout the city, facilitating direct contact with the interested public,” explains the businessman.
The promotional folder highlights the idea of a “dwelling built on the foundations of family tradition”, reinforcing that the evangelical public, on average, values financial stability, avoids what it considers superfluous spending, and invests in durable goods like one’s own home.
Plácido, a member of the Madureira Ministry (one of the largest branches of the Assembly of God), also highlights the social role of evangelical churches in the region, whether in the recovery of drug dependents or the distribution of food baskets.
Evangelical Consumption and Trends in the Real Estate Market
The growth of the evangelical public in Brazil has caught the attention of the real estate sector.
Data from 2023 already indicated that this segment represents one of the main drivers of consumption in the country, especially in cities of Baixada Fluminense, where new churches emerge every year.
The very name of Plácido’s company, MultiplicZ, is a reference to the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves, present in the Christian gospels.
The businessman states that “the consumption of evangelicals is fundamental” for the market and emphasizes that, due to cultural characteristics, this group tends to be more loyal to the venture and less susceptible to default.
However, the proposal of Manancial da Fé is not limited to religious symbolism.
The decorated apartment at the headquarters of VIC Engenharia, a partner in the project, adopts a contemporary and eclectic style, with modern elements and varied décor, distancing itself from the stereotype of traditionalist environments.
For Plácido, this choice reflects the transformation of the Brazilian evangelical public, increasingly integrated into cultural and consumption trends, without losing the connection to fundamental values.
Would you consider living in a condominium where each block bears the name of a biblical city? The trend of themed condominiums could transform the future of the Brazilian real estate market?
