There Was Confusion and Protests After Enaval Brought in a Bunch of Workers for the Comperj Project Without Anyone Knowing, Watch the Video.

On the eve of the resumption of the Comperj works, tensions are high, as many people are seeking information from one place to another, worried that they may not be hired in time. It turns out that after one of the companies that will provide services for this project, Enaval, hired a bunch of workers without anyone knowing, which ended up angering many residents of Itaboraí. Some went to the union’s door to seek information, others went to the city job center, and some are reaching out to local lawmakers.

During the protests that took place yesterday (17), many were in front of the building rented by representatives of Keuri Método Potencial, questioning whether the union would actually hire through them. One person volunteered to speak and represent the workers at that moment and stated that Sintramon has no decision-making power in these cases during selection processes, because ultimately, the company evaluates the worker’s capabilities. Sintramon says it is doing everything possible to ensure that the hiring process is as transparent as possible, meanwhile, Método Potencial, a partner company of the Chinese firm in the construction of UPGN, states that it is not satisfied at all because it already has employees from other projects that are ending, and its intention was to bring all of them to the Comperj.
