The Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) has launched the DIRPS No. 47/2024 notice, which offers 210 spots for the undergraduate course in pedagogy in the online (EAD) modality. Focusing on teacher training, the spots are intended for the general public and spread across various centers.

What Is the Objective of the Course and Its Workload?

The undergraduate course in Pedagogy at the Federal University-UFU has the main objective of training professionals qualified to work in basic education, promoting inclusive and effective pedagogical practices. With a duration of four years, the free online (EAD) course has a total workload of 3,500 hours, which includes supervised internships, curricular extension activities, and complementary activities.

Distribution of Spots and Available Centers

The 210 spots for the free online (EAD) course are distributed across five centers, strategically located to serve different regions:

Araguari-MG: 40 spots
Viradouro-SP: 40 spots
Uberaba-MG: 40 spots
Patos de Minas-MG: 40 spots
Uberlândia-MG: 50 spots

The centers in Araguari and Uberlândia have pending issues in the SisUAB system of Capes, and candidates approved for these locations may opt for another center if the issues are not resolved.

How Will the Selection Process Be?

The selection process will be conducted in a single stage, of an eliminatory and classificatory nature, consisting of:

Evaluation of the school history: The grades of the subjects of Portuguese Language and Mathematics from the last year of High School will be analyzed.
Online writing test: It will be held on January 19, 2025, from 2 PM to 3 PM, with correction following strict criteria to assess reading, writing, and textual comprehension skills.

Candidates applying for reserved spots must meet the requirements of the quota policies described in the notice.

Who Can Apply?

Those who have completed or will be completing High School by the registration period can participate in the selection process for the undergraduate course. It is also necessary to have access to technological resources such as stable internet and a computer to follow activities on the virtual platform.

Start of registrations: December 16, 2024, at 11 AM
End of registrations: January 2, 2025, at 11 AM
Online writing test: January 19, 2025
Announcement of results: February 19, 2025
Enrollment of approved candidates: Date to be announced in a supplementary notice
