Free qualification, financial support, and recognized certification are on the radar of workers seeking opportunities in industrial areas with demand for technical labor. The program brings together Senai, Petrobras, and calls for courses focused on operational functions in different regions of the country.

Through the Autonomy and Income Program, Senai and Petrobras offer free professional qualification courses for workers interested in industrial, operational, and technical areas, with training focused on the demands of the productive sector.

In addition to being free, the opportunities provide a certificate at the end of the training and payment of a scholarship during the class period, according to the conditions defined in each call published by the program.

Created to expand access to training, the initiative serves people in situations of social vulnerability, low income, and without formal employment, with priority for residents of areas covered by Petrobras operations.

According to the company, the courses aim to bring professional training closer to local labor demands, especially in regions where industrial activities require workers prepared for practical functions and operational support.

Free courses target industrial functions

In the offered classes, the training combines technical content and practical activities in areas such as maintenance, assembly, construction, operation, and industrial services, always according to the availability in each location.

Among the options announced are industrial electrician, industrial welding, industrial painting, machine mechanics, instrumentation, civil construction, building maintenance, boiler making, and scaffolding assembly, in addition to other functions related to the industry’s routine.

The list also includes courses in industrial plumbing, thermal insulation, hydrojet operation, assembly mechanic, refractory bricklayer, signalman rigger, and various auxiliary services, depending on the city, class, and open call.

According to the program’s structure, the exact offer depends on the responsible unit, workload, shift, and schedule defined for each training, so consulting the call is essential before registration.

Petrobras informs that the Autonomy and Income program brings together professional qualification courses at technical and vocational levels, executed by Senai units and partner Federal Institutes.

Scholarship aids in student retention

To reduce difficulties that affect class attendance, the program provides scholarships to participants during the course, as well as free enrollment through to course completion.

According to Petrobras, all selected students receive financial support throughout the training, with a differentiated amount for women with children up to 11 years old.

In practice, the financial aid aims to alleviate expenses related to transportation, food, and family routine, factors that often prevent the completion of in-person courses by people in more vulnerable situations.

The amount stated in the announcement is R$ 600 per month, but rules, benefits, and payment conditions should be checked in the chosen class’s announcement, as they may vary depending on the institution, city, and training.

In addition to the monthly scholarship, approved participants do not pay tuition, enrollment, or mandatory materials, a condition confirmed by the program’s official portal for candidates selected within the available slots.

Priority audience of the Autonomy and Income Program

The priority audience includes people aged 18 or older, with low income, without formal employment, and residents in municipalities within the areas covered by Petrobras operations.

The program also prioritizes historically marginalized groups, such as women, transgender people, indigenous people, quilombolas, refugees, people with disabilities, black and brown people, respecting the criteria outlined in the announcements.

Before choosing a class, the candidate needs to observe the minimum educational level, availability to attend classes, and proof of residence in a municipality covered by the offer.

In professional qualification courses, the program portal states the requirement of completed Elementary School I or complete Elementary School, depending on the training selected by the interested party.

For subsequent technical courses, the rule requires complete High School and Elementary School fully attended in a public school of the national network, in addition to other requirements outlined in the announcement.

When the number of applicants exceeds the number of available slots, selection occurs through an electronic public lottery, prioritizing candidates with low income, without formal employment, and members of marginalized groups.

Senai certificate can enhance resume

Upon completing the planned stages, the student receives a certificate issued by the institution responsible for the training, a document that can be used to prove qualification in selection processes.

In the classes conducted by Senai, the certification is backed by an entity nationally recognized for preparing professionals for different segments of the Brazilian industry.

Aimed at various profiles, the training can serve those seeking their first job, trying to return to the job market, or intending to migrate to a technical occupation.

The offered areas relate to sectors that depend on trained labor for industrial activities, maintenance, assembly, and operational support, which reinforces the importance of verifying the course’s alignment with the professional objective.

Before enrollment, it is worth checking the workload, class location, shift, required documents, and complete schedule, as this information guides the candidate’s participation in all stages.

How to enroll in free courses

Registrations must be made online, on the official portal of the Autonomy and Income Program, within the tenders area, where the candidate checks the open classes and reviews the participation rules.

After choosing the course of interest, it is necessary to click on “Enroll” and fill in details such as CPF, RG, full address, email, and contact phone number.

The deadline for this selection is until June 26, 2026, according to the vacancy announcement, and the offer may vary depending on the city, responsible institution, and schedule of each class.

After registration, the candidate must follow the chosen tender, check the result of the electronic draw, and complete the enrollment stages within the deadlines published by the program.
