Driver Stopped at Checkpoint Surprised the Police by Revealing That He Has Been Driving Without a License Since 1997, Without Insurance and Without Vehicle Inspection.
During a traffic checkpoint in the Rhône region of France, police discovered an extreme case of disregard for traffic laws. When checking the driver’s documents, the officers found that he was driving without insurance and without a valid driver’s license.
According to the driver himself, his license had been revoked in 1997, after being caught driving under the influence of alcohol. Since then, he has never regularized his situation.
Surprisingly, the man compared his situation to that of an expired yogurt that can still be consumed. To him, it made no sense to renew his license or maintain insurance or technical inspections on the car.
