Alongside the Government of the State of Maranhão, the company Elo Contact Center promises to provide 300 job openings for young people aged 18 to 24 in the capital São Luís. Hiring must take place by the 20th of August. Simplício Araújo, Secretary of Industry, Commerce and Energy, announced this Tuesday (10) the start of the selection process for new Elo Contact Center employees.

Also participating in the partnership is the Coca-Cola company, which, alongside Elo Contact Center, joined the Youth Work Program, created by the State Government with the mission of offering jobs and income to young people in São Luís. According to the secretary, year after year, the state government has created actions to positively impact the economic life not only of the residents of São Luís, but of all of Maranhão.
Initiatives such as Trabalho Jovem and Cidade Empreendedora have generated new hope for the population, especially the younger public, who suffer from the lack of opportunities before and after the pandemic.
Elo Contact Center works by offering consultation appointments, back offices administrative services, customer service, point-of-sale outsourcing services and credit recovery. With the partnership, around 700 job openings will be offered by the end of the year, 300 of which will be available by August 20th, to work at the company's headquarters in São Luís.

Youth Work is a program administered through the Department of Labor and Solidarity Economy (Setres), Seinc, State Department of Education (Seduc) and the Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Maranhão (IEMA) and also has the support of the Youth Secretariat (SEJJUV), among other entities.
Created by Law No. 11.384 of December 16, 2020, and regulated through Decree No. 36.486 of February 10, 2021, the Youth Work Program aims to generate direct opportunities for young people from Maranhão through jobs, internships, income, courses and purses. In all, more than 35 opportunities will be offered.
