The Brazilian startup Lecar announced an ambitious growth plan: it intends to open 150 sales outlets across the country by the end of 2026. The initiative is led by Flávio Figueiredo Assis, founder and CEO of the company, nicknamed in the market as the “Brazilian Musk.”
The automaker seeks to establish itself in the sustainable mobility segment, offering hybrid flex electric vehicles that run on ethanol and electric energy, combining economy, efficiency, and lower environmental impact.
So far, some stores are already in operation, while around 90 negotiations are advancing towards formalization.

Lecar: Expansion Strategy with Structured Investment
Lecar’s expansion model is innovative: instead of traditional dealerships, the brand invests in multibrand stores, each receiving up to R$ 150 thousand in investment to become authorized.
According to Assis, the proposal allows local entrepreneurs in the used car sector to join the project, accelerating the brand’s presence throughout the country.
“These are entrepreneurs from the used car market, with years of experience, who see in Lecar the opportunity to participate and be a part of the history of the largest sustainable mobility project in the country. Our goal is to conclude 2026 with over 150 active dealerships across Brazil,” said the CEO.
The brand’s differential lies in its hybrid flex electric vehicles, which can run on both electric energy and ethanol, ensuring extended autonomy and reduced emissions.
This technology makes the cars economical and aligned with environmental policies, especially in cities that encourage sustainable transport solutions.
Launch Scheduled for the 2025 Auto Show
Lecar plans to officially unveil its prototypes at the 2025 Auto Show in São Paulo. Among them are the Lecar 459 SUV, the Lecar Campo pickup, and the Lecar Tático utility vehicle.
All models share the same electric platform with range extender, combining performance and energy efficiency.
Despite the ambitious timeline, production faces challenges: the manufacturing of the Lecar 459 and the Lecar Campo pickup depends on the purchase of the factory in Jacareí.
Only after this acquisition can the first units be delivered, delaying production initially scheduled for 2025.
Scheduled Purchase: Installment Payments and Financial Security
The sale of vehicles will follow a scheduled purchase model, allowing customers to pay in up to 48 monthly installments.
Delivery will occur only after the payment of half of the installments, ensuring that production matches real demand and providing security for both consumers and the automaker.
With this strategy, Lecar combines technological innovation, sustainability, and strategic expansion, attracting entrepreneurs and consumers seeking eco-friendly and efficient mobility alternatives in Brazil.
