But be aware that if you are hoping to re-enter the oil and gas market and receive one of the highest salaries in the country, you will need to invest in qualification, said Firjan’s Oil, Gas, and Naval Manager, Karine Fragoso.
Although salaries in the oil and gas market are on average six times higher than in other industrial activities, it requires that the professional be very well qualified. Knowing how to speak English is currently a significant differentiator, as most companies are multinational.
For each new direct job in the oil market, eight opportunities are created in the so-called multiplier effect, explains Karine. This means that with the recovery of the segment in Rio, the expectation is that new positions will also open up in logistics, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, among others.
