Artificial Intelligence Goes Beyond Statistics and Enters Parking Lots and Gas Stations

Stanley Robotics emerges as a protagonist with its valet robot technology, highlighting that artificial intelligence (AI) goes far beyond complex formulas and algorithms.

Using machine learning, a subset of AI, these robots are transforming the experience of parking a car, making it more efficient and less stressful.

AutoFuel and the Revolution of Refueling

On the other side of the coin, we have AutoFuel, a company that is redefining the act of refueling a vehicle.

Mentioned in a recent Marketwatch article, the company emphasizes the need to explore technologies that facilitate the transition to a more sustainable world. Its refueling robots are a concrete step in this direction. Watch the video below of a demonstration of the refueling robot.

Machine Learning vs. Expert Systems

Both companies use expert systems in conjunction with machine learning to maximize efficiency. These systems do not “learn” in the way we understand, but are highly effective at performing the tasks for which they were programmed.

Meet Stanley Robotics

Founded in 2015 by Clément and Aurélien, Stanley Robotics was born with the mission to simplify and revolutionize car parking. “Stan,” its autonomous valet robot, came along with a fleet management software entirely developed by the company. Watch the video below provided by the company demonstrating the robot’s skills.

The first major test of Stanley Robotics was at Paris Airport in 2015. The success was resounding, optimizing spaces in a sector that grows 10% annually and gaining hundreds of users in just a few months.

It didn’t take long for other major players to recognize the value of Stanley Robotics technology. In partnership with Lyon Airports, the company implemented valet robots for the first time in large outdoor parking lots, operating in any weather condition.
