SENAI/SC Is Offering 586 Free Spots for 1st Year High School Students of the State Network, with Options in Nine Cities and Areas Such as Technology, Design, and Civil Construction.

There are 586 free spots available in technical courses from SENAI/SC, exclusively for students in the 1st year of high school from the state network. The opportunities are distributed across nine cities and cover areas such as Systems Development, Internet Computing, Multimedia, Internet of Things, Construction, Furniture Design, Work Safety, and Digital Game Programming.

The applications will remain open until August 24, with results on September 2 and classes starting on September 8.

The ranking is determined by the confirmation order after a visit with the guardians. Therefore, organization and agility make all the difference. This initiative is part of the CaTec, a program from the State Department of Education that expands public school students’ access to quality technical training, with theoretical and practical classes held at SENAI units and meals included.

Who Can Participate and What Is Open Now

The target audience is students enrolled in the 1st year of high school in the state network of Santa Catarina. This requirement is mandatory and ensures that students start their technical journey early, combining regular classes with professional training.

In total, there are 586 free spots distributed across nine cities, with classes in the morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, depending on the course. This variety allows adjustment to school and family routines without compromising performance.

The covered areas combine technology, design, civil construction, and safety, a set aligned with the most in-demand professions in the state. This increases the chances of employability and career building even during high school. The training takes place in SENAI’s laboratories and workshops, known for their updated infrastructure and practical methodology, which brings students closer to the real work environment.

How to Register Step by Step

The process starts with registration on the program’s website. Then, the candidate schedules a visit to the SENAI unit accompanied by parents or guardians. In this meeting, the team presents the courses, clarifies doubts, and checks the suitability of the profile for the available options.

At the end of the visit, the student receives a link to choose the course, attach the documentation, and confirm the registration. This confirmation is the step that determines the ranking order, so it is important to send the documents with attention and speed. If preferred spots are already filled, it is possible to enter a waiting list. The list is updated as vacancies arise due to withdrawals or reclassifications, so it is advisable to keep contact information updated.

Keep all receipts generated during the process and check the email provided regularly, as official communication uses these channels for notifications and convocations.

Documents and Requirements

To confirm participation, have ready identification documents and CPF of the student and the guardian, along with a proof of enrollment that certifies the 1st year of high school in the state network.
Depending on the course and unit, additional documents may be required. It is advisable to check the detailed list in the guidance received during the visit and organize everything in advance.

If the candidate is a person with a disability, attaching the certifying report expedites the analysis and the adequacy of any necessary support in the school environment.

Cities, Courses, and Available Shifts

The offer has been designed to bring technical training to different regions of Santa Catarina, reducing travel and increasing access. Before choosing, assess the shift, the travel time to the unit, and your affinity with the area.

The number in parentheses indicates the number of spots per class. In some cities, there is more than one option for the same course, which increases the chances of enrollment. Remember that the confirmation order is determining for the final ranking.

Schedule and Ranking Criteria

The registration period continues until August 24. This is the deadline to complete the pre-registration and schedule the visit, a necessary step to receive the confirmation link. Plan accordingly to avoid leaving it for the last days.

The result will be published on September 2 in the same registration environment. Keep an eye on the panel regularly to not miss enrollment deadlines and further instructions. The classes start on September 8, directly at the indicated SENAI units for each class. In the first weeks, students will be oriented to the laboratory spaces and teaching resources.

The selection respects the confirmation order of the registration after the meeting with the guardians. This means that those who confirm first, within the rules and with the correct documentation, have priority on the list.

Benefits and Why It Is Worth It

The courses from SENAI/SC combine theory and practice from the first module, which accelerates the development of technical and behavioral skills. This approach facilitates entry into the job market and strengthens the resume for future selection processes. Another advantage is the meals included, an important support for students who spend more time at the unit due to the chosen shift. This benefit contributes to retention and good performance.

Participation in CaTec places the student on a path of professional qualification that aligns with the demands of the productive sector in Santa Catarina. Areas such as technology, construction, and safety continue to have high employability and prospects for good salaries.

Studying in a simulated industrial environment, with current equipment and guidance from experienced instructors, helps to transform content into practical results. The student finishes the technical program ready to continue studies or start a career.

Tips to Secure a Spot and Choose the Right Course

  • The first tip is simple and effective: register and schedule the visit as soon as possible. This advances the crucial stage of confirmation and increases your chances in the ranking order.
  • Organize a folder with documents. Arriving at the meeting with everything prepared avoids rework, speeds up confirmation, and reduces the risk of losing the spot due to bureaucratic details.
  • When choosing a course, consider three factors: affinity, route, and shift. Areas of technology such as Systems Development, Internet Computing, Internet of Things, and Digital Game Programming require an affinity for logic and problem-solving. In contrast, Construction, Work Safety, Multimedia, and Furniture Design demand attention to projects, standards, and creativity.
  • Finally, talk with your family about routine, travel, and expectations. The technical program requires discipline, but offers a real competitive advantage for those who want to finish high school with a professional edge.

If you are a student in the 1st year of high school in the state network and want to take a step forward, the free spots at SENAI/SC are a concrete opportunity for technical training focused on employability.
