Federal Institute Extended Deadline for Free Specialization! Starting in April 2025, the course offers 40 spots and is aimed at elementary school teachers!

The IFB has extended the application deadline for the course until January 26, 2025.

This program aims to enhance the performance of teachers in teaching Science and Mathematics in Elementary Education, addressing multidisciplinary and transversal practices.

Classes will be held in person at the Gama Campus, with a planned start date of April 3, 2025.

With a total course load of 440 hours, the program is structured to accommodate professionals’ routines.

Classes will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7 PM to 10:30 PM, a schedule designed to offer flexibility and accessibility.

Who Can Participate?

The target audience for this specialization course consists of licensed professionals in the fields of Pedagogy, Natural Sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Biology), or Mathematics, recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC).

Additionally, self-declared Black, Brown, Quilombola, or Indigenous individuals (PPIQ), as well as persons with disabilities (PcD), may apply provided they present the required documentation in the notice.

How Are the Spots Distributed?

The course offers 40 spots, distributed across two main categories:

Graduates from IFB (25% of the spots):

  • 50% open competition;
  • 20% for PcD;
  • 30% for PPIQ.

Graduates from Other Institutions (75% of the spots):

  • 50% open competition;
  • 10% for PcD;
  • 30% for PPIQ;
  • 10% for teachers from the Federal District Education Secretariat (SEEDF).

How Does the Selection Process Work?

The selection process consists of rigorous and careful stages, which include:

  1. Curricular Analysis: Evaluation of the candidate’s education and professional experience.
  2. Heteroidentification: Verification of self-declarations for PPIQ candidates.
  3. Interviews: An additional stage, applied if necessary, based on candidates’ rankings.

The final results will be published on the official IFB website, according to the schedule established in the notice.

Approved candidates will need to register in person at the Gama Campus, securing their participation in this excellence program.
