The Company Parkwind Informed, During This Wednesday, June 22, That It Closed a Partnership with Intrakat, Based in Greece, for the Supply of Offshore Wind Power Plants. In Total, According to Members of the Institutions, It Is Estimated That the Energy Production Will Be at Least 1 GW When Added to More 4 Plants Already Built in Germany.

Still on this Wednesday, June 22, Greece stated that it would be investing more than €1.5 billion for the energy transition in the country for the use of wind and solar energy. A large part of the invested amount would be allocated to companies, at more affordable interest rates, that had an interest in reducing the existing dependence on fossil fuels. Thus, Intrakat will receive these incentives to finalize its partnership with the Belgian offshore giant, Parkwind.

The Intrakat Group is an internationally recognized reference for delivering ready products; the institution carries out public projects and even grants PPPs. Since 2021, they have been reinforcing their environmental commitment to achieve the desired goals by 2030. To this end, the institution claims to already have at least 9 licenses in progress for new constructions. Global partnerships will ensure that the projects can materialize quickly.

Strategic Partnership Between Intrakat and Parkwind in Wind Energy Production Impacts World Sector, Including Brazil. Will It Be the End of the Era of Fossil Fuels?

Wind energy has been an alternative used by many companies to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the environment; other common alternatives used in the industry include solar energy and hydrogen-based energy. Hydrogen has become so popular that aviation companies announced this week that they intend to invest in engines that will put the need for biodiesel at the forefront. Biodiesel production is becoming increasingly expensive, and seeking an alternative to replace it is a necessity in the short and long term.

Petros Souretis, CEO of Intrakat, and Loukas Lazarakis, CEO of Inkat Energy, said: “As part of the Intrakat Group’s growth and investment strategy in renewable energy, we are entering into an important and extremely dynamic strategic partnership, I believe, with Parkwind, an innovative company with a leading position in the field of offshore wind farms. Greece will develop this category of wind farms over the next few years, with obvious and multiple benefits, on a large scale. With the know-how and experience of Intrakat and Parkwind, we aspire to become leaders in this field.”

With four operational wind farms in the Belgian North Sea and a fifth currently being installed, Parkwind will have more than 1 GW of offshore wind energy capacity.

Energy Crisis Makes This Transition Necessary.

Countries are “racing” to make the energy transition based on fossil fuels and coal, which increased by 105% in one year, toward hydrogen, wind, and solar energy. Another example, besides the Belgian and Greek multinationals and offshore entities, is India, which revealed this week, through a report, that it needs an investment of US$ 223 billion to reduce its reliance on coal by more than half. Brazil encourages its population to do the same by not charging ICMS on what is produced until 2023.
