The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Minas Gerais (IFMG) is open for registrations for a selection process that offers temporary positions for the role of visiting professor.
The opportunities are for the Ouro Preto Campus, with salaries that can exceed R$ 8 thousand, in addition to benefits.
Applications are open until June 16, 2025, and must be made exclusively by email.

Two Positions Available At The Federal Institute: Know The Requirements By Area
The announcement, published in the Official Gazette of the Union on May 26, 2025, announces the opening of two positions for visiting professors at IFMG – Ouro Preto Campus. The areas covered are:
- Administration (1 Position): Requires a degree in Administration or Engineering, with a master’s or doctorate in Administration completed at least two years ago. It is also necessary to present proven experience as a professor or researcher, with relevant scientific production, preferably in the last five years.
- Physics (1 Position): Accepts a degree in Physics (bachelor’s or teaching) with a master’s or doctorate in the areas of Physics, Physics Education, Science Education, Philosophy of Education, Sociology of Education, History of Education, or History of Sciences. The doctoral degree must have been obtained at least two years ago. Otherwise, the candidate must demonstrate significant experience in teaching, research, or technological extension.
Attractive Remuneration And 40-Hour Weekly Schedule
The amount of remuneration varies according to the qualifications of the selected candidate by the Federal Institute. For a 40-hour weekly work schedule, the salaries are:
- Graduation or Improvement: R$ 4,867.77
- Specialization: R$ 4,975.59
- Master’s: R$ 5,949.07
- Doctorate: R$ 8,058.29
In addition, all hired staff will be entitled to a food aid worth R$ 1,000.00 per month, further enhancing the attractiveness of the positions.
