Vagner Franco, who was the manager at Shell in Rio and lived in the West Zone of the city, was found lifeless in the Lakes Region, in the city of Rio das Ostras this Sunday on Praia do Mar do Norte. Ligia Franco, his daughter, ended up posting an emotional message on social media as a farewell, saying that her father was her greatest hero.
Vagner’s disappearance was noticed around 11:30 on Thursday (7), shortly after he dropped his wife off at a photography studio in Recreio dos Bandeirantes. She mentioned at the time that she would buy breakfast for their daughter but did not specify the location. As soon as the family realized that his return was taking longer than usual, campaigns were initiated on social media, subsequently registering the disappearance at the DDPA (Delegacia de Descoberta de Paradeiros)

On the 10th, Sunday, the family went to the Instituto Médico-Legal (IML), where the body was located after receiving the news that the Shell manager was found in Rio das Ostras, unfortunately with stab wounds and gunshots, in addition to his hands being tied.
The authorities working on the case received information that Wagner had debts amounting to 100 thousand reais, this same amount was preventing him from making transactions from his account, but this information is still being verified. Due to this debt, Vagner had been working as an Uber driver in recent times to supplement his income.
Vagner’s burial will take place today (11) at the Cemitério Jardim da Saudade, in Sulacap, in the West Zone. Shell issued a statement mourning the death of the employee: “Shell Brasil confirms, with regret, the passing of employee Vagner Franco.
