Multinational Oil and Gas Company, Shell Opens Position in Rio de Janeiro for Engineer with Experience in Subsea

Shell is a global group of energy and petrochemical companies with over 90,000 employees in more than 70 countries and territories. In Brazil, Shell has been present for over a century (since 1913) and was the first international oil company to produce oil in Brazil, in the Campos Basin, after the market was opened to private investment. Currently, Shell is one of the largest energy companies in the Brazilian market.

Senior Engineer

Some of the Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the technical function with subsea production and related subsea project activities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering required.
  • Previous exposure and knowledge in subsea operations and surveillance processes necessary.
  • Experience with pumps and motors; The Subsea Pump Mudline / Electric Submersible Pump is preferred.
  • Willingness to go abroad.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to work with people both inside and outside the team.
  • Good analytical reasoning, ability to analyze technical issues and develop solutions.
  • Experience in developing and writing procedures is desirable.
  • Ability to manage contractors and coordinate engineering activities remotely.

Objective:

Maintain the integrity of operational systems and regulatory compliance; Maintain oversight of subsea systems operations; Monitor and support optimization of subsea production system; Maintain all necessary documentation to demonstrate system integrity and compliance with Shell and regulatory standards and processes.
