State Government advances in infrastructure with investment from BNDES, aiming at economic development and regional integration
Mato Grosso do Sul is about to undergo a revolution in its road infrastructure. Common investment of BRL 2,6 billion, from the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), and a state counterpart of R$ 300 million, the State Government begins an ambitious project to modernize its highways, according to the Nova News website.
Governor Eduardo Riedel highlighted the importance of the investment:
“Mato Grosso do Sul is experiencing a period of significant growth, which brings good prospects for us. This BNDES resource is of vital importance, allowing us to continue investing consistently in the state’s infrastructure and logistics, which guarantees the interest and possibility of receiving more private capital, with a competitive economy in full growth.”
Paving and restoration works
The State Government's project encompasses the transformation of 800 kilometers of state highways, with 660 kilometers destined for paving and 170 kilometers for restoration and adaptation. This effort aims not only to improve the road network, but also promote economic development and regional integration.

Sustainability and attraction of private capital
One of the pillars of the Government's project is sustainability. The works will use practices that minimize environmental impact and optimize available resources, ensuring greater durability for the highways.
O Government investment also reinforces the State's attractiveness to private capital. With a modern and efficient infrastructure, Mato Grosso do Sul positions itself as a competitive hub for new businesses, increasing the prospects for long-term economic growth.
