Mid-sized naked model gains new color in the 2027 lineup, retains 49.6 hp twin-cylinder engine, and preserves package with TFT panel, Showa suspension, traction control, and ABS brakes, within Honda’s strategy for the segment in Brazil.
The Honda CB500 Hornet 2027 arrives in the Brazilian market with a specific change in the lineup: the inclusion of the Metallic Silver color among the available options for the mid-sized naked.
In the 2027 lineup, the model maintains the suggested retail price of R$ 43,470 for São Paulo, excluding freight and insurance, in addition to the mechanical set consisting of a twin-cylinder engine, six-speed gearbox, TFT panel, and Showa front suspension.
With the new shade, the motorcycle is now offered in Red, Pearl Black, and Metallic Silver, with no changes reported by the manufacturer in the model’s technical proposal.

Without relying on an outlet, without a cable, and without the gasoline engine driving the wheels: Nissan created the Note e-POWER, a hatchback that always runs on an electric motor while a combustion engine works only as a generator, delivering to Japan a type of “electric without recharging” that Brazil is almost unfamiliar with.

Harley-Davidson created an entry-level motorcycle that seems impossible for those who only know the brand’s big bikes: the X440 uses a 440 cc single-cylinder engine, delivers 27 hp, 38 Nm, a declared fuel consumption of 35 km/l, and showcases a small, rational, and much more accessible Harley in India.
According to Honda, the CB500 Hornet 2027 will be available in the brand’s dealership network starting in June 2026, as part of the company’s mid-range naked models offering in the Brazilian market.
CB500 Hornet 2027 retains name linked to the Hornet family
The CB500 Hornet represents the identity update of the former CB500F in Brazil, in a change that reintroduced a well-known name among Brazilian motorcyclists to the national catalog.
Despite adopting the Hornet name, the motorcycle was not presented as a direct successor to the higher displacement versions that marked the family’s trajectory in the country.

In the design, the motorcycle maintains angular lines, LED optical set, and compact side fairings, elements cited by the manufacturer as part of the model’s visual identity.
This configuration brings the CB500 Hornet closer to the language used in other nakeds of the brand, although the technical set remains concentrated in the mid-sized range.
The riding position follows the standard of a naked, with a raised handlebar, two-level seat, and absence of wide front fairing, a common characteristic in this type of motorcycle.
With the adopted configuration, the model is suitable for urban commuting, short or medium highway trips, and situations where a less inclined riding position is prioritized.
Twin-cylinder Engine of the Honda CB500 Hornet
The engine of the CB500 Hornet 2027 is a 471 cm³ twin-cylinder, with dual overhead camshaft, four valves per cylinder, and liquid cooling.
According to the data released by Honda, the maximum power is 49.6 hp at 8,500 rpm, while the torque reaches 4.50 kgf.m at 7,000 rpm.
The transmission has six gears and works with an assisted and slipper clutch, a system that reduces the effort on the lever and acts on downshifts.

This type of clutch is used in different categories of motorcycles and its function is to assist in controlling the rear wheel during more intense decelerations.
In the fueling system, the CB500 Hornet uses PGM-FI electronic injection, a technology employed by Honda in various models to manage fuel delivery to the engine.
The package also includes the HSTC traction control, a feature that acts when there is a loss of grip on the rear wheel in certain riding conditions.
Showa Suspension, Nissin Brakes, and Weight of 175 kg
In the cycling part, the CB500 Hornet 2027 retains the steel Diamond-type chassis and the inverted front Showa SFF-BP suspension.
At the rear, the set uses a Pro-Link system with adjustment, a solution applied by the brand to adjust the suspension behavior according to load and usage conditions.
The dry weight reported is 175 kg, a number that positions the motorcycle within the proposal of a medium-displacement naked with a twin-cylinder engine.
The alloy wheels use radial tires with dimensions 120/70-ZR17 at the front and 160/60-ZR17 at the rear, specifications compatible with the set informed by Honda.
In the brakes, the motorcycle features two front discs of 296 mm with Nissin four-piston radial mount calipers, as well as a rear disc of 240 mm with a single-piston caliper.

The ABS system is also part of the package and acts to reduce the risk of wheel lock during braking, especially in low grip conditions or more intense deceleration.
5-inch TFT panel and electronic features
The onboard technology includes a 5-inch color TFT panel, with three display modes, in addition to full LED lighting in the optical set.
On the left grip, the backlit four-way control gathers controls related to the panel and available features, according to the configuration provided by the manufacturer.
Another retained item is the ESS, short for Emergency Stop Signal, a system that activates emergency signaling when it detects sudden braking.
In the composition of active safety, the ESS adds to the ABS and HSTC traction control, forming the electronic package released by Honda for the 2027 line.
The equipment list also includes a two-level split seat and handles for luggage attachment, components present in the standard configuration of the model.
With these items, the CB500 Hornet maintains a combination aimed at daily use and longer trips, without structural changes announced for the 2027 line.

Price of the CB500 Hornet 2027 in Brazil
The suggested retail price of the CB500 Hornet 2027 is R$ 43,470 for São Paulo, a value that does not include freight or freight insurance.
As with other models of the brand, the final price may vary depending on the region, dealership, additional expenses, and commercial conditions applied at the time of purchase.
The warranty provided by Honda is three years, with no mileage limit, accompanied by free Honda Assistance throughout the coverage period.
According to the manufacturer, the service is valid in Brazil and also in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia during the planned assistance period.
The maintenance plan provides for the first service at 1,000 km or within six months, whichever comes first.
After this initial service, the informed interval becomes 6,000 km or six months, maintaining the periodic follow-up indicated by the brand.
The service guidance is part of the conditions set by the manufacturer to preserve the warranty coverage and the regular functioning of the motorcycle.
With the arrival of the Metallic Silver color, the 2027 line of the CB500 Hornet had no changes announced in engine, suspension, brakes, or electronic package.
The update focuses on the color offerings, keeping the motorcycle among Honda’s options for the medium-displacement naked segment in Brazil.
