National certification paves the way for a basic smartphone with a large screen, robust battery, and current features, while the brand’s strategy involves local production and a focus on competitive pricing to expand its presence in the entry-level segment of the Brazilian market.
The Infinix Smart 20 has received certification from the National Telecommunications Agency and is now cleared for sale in Brazil, expanding the brand’s line of entry-level smartphones with a large screen, 120 Hz refresh rate, 5,200 mAh battery, and Android 16 with XOS 16 interface.
Registered under the code X6840, the device emerges as a simpler alternative to the Note 60 and Note 60 Pro models, which are already positioned in a higher range within the manufacturer’s portfolio, as it seeks to diversify its presence in the national market.
As a mandatory step for commercialization in the country, the homologation confirms compatibility with Brazilian 4G networks and indicates that part of the stock will be imported, while another portion is expected to be produced in Manaus, reinforcing the company’s local operation strategy.

China throws its super powerful and gigantic computers into the icy ocean depths to save electricity, creating a crazy system that avoids the use of fresh water and doesn’t take up space in our overcrowded cities.

This move accompanies the brand’s expansion into more accessible categories, targeting consumers who prioritize cost-benefit and essential features, while also expanding distribution through national production to reduce logistical and tax costs.
Large screen and focus on daily use
Even as a basic smartphone, the Smart 20 tries to stand out with a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel, HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,576 pixels, and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a combination that favors smooth navigation.
Aimed at simple tasks, the setup prioritizes content consumption, social media, and light applications, without the intention of directly competing with mid-range devices, maintaining its focus on users who seek sufficient performance for daily routines.
In this context, performance is handled by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate, coupled with 4 GB of RAM and options of 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage, ensuring adequate operation within the device’s proposition.
Additionally, there is support for a microSD card of up to 2 TB, a relevant feature for those who need to expand space for files, photos, and videos, without relying exclusively on the internal memory available in the offered versions.
5,200 mAh battery and basic camera setup

Among the main highlights, the 5,200 mAh battery stands out for promising extended autonomy, a characteristic particularly valued in the entry-level segment, where continuous use throughout the day is often a decisive factor.
For charging, the device supports up to 15 W via cable, although the certification indicates the presence of a 10 W charger in the box, a common practice among manufacturers who choose to include simpler accessories.
As for the photographic setup, the Smart 20 features an 8 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front sensor, a configuration that serves basic photos, video calls, and everyday use in communication applications.
Complementing the package, the model offers 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 5 Dual Band, NFC, and an infrared emitter, allowing control of compatible devices, in addition to including stereo sound, a side fingerprint reader, and IP64 certification against dust and splashes.
Design, manufacturing in Brazil, and next steps
Images present in the homologation process show the device in silver, maintaining a design already known in the international market and preserving physical elements such as a SIM card tray, speakers, and a P2 headphone jack.
With dimensions of 167.7 x 78.8 x 7.7 mm, the model follows the standard for large-screen phones, although the weight has not been securely confirmed yet, remaining as pending information.
So far, there is no official confirmation on price or release date in Brazil, but the completion of the homologation indicates that the announcement could happen at any moment, depending only on the commercial strategy defined by the manufacturer.
