The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Espírito Santo is open for enrollment in a free online postgraduate program. The institution has 40 spots for the free corporate finance course with a workload of 360 hours and a guaranteed certificate. Everything About the Free Online Postgraduate Program at the Federal Institute

The free course requires students to participate in 1 mandatory in-person meeting with a workload of 5 hours, specifically for participation and presentation at the Scientific Journeys of IFES Linhares campus, based on the research project developed during the free course or scientific research carried out by the student during the classes.

There will also be a research project/scientific research that will be developed throughout the classes, especially in alignment with the Research in Finance subject.

Those who hold a bachelor’s degree in any field of knowledge from a higher education institution duly recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) will be able to participate in the selection process for the free corporate finance course. Among the subjects in the free online postgraduate program are:

Financial Mathematics 30 hours;
Economic Scenarios Analysis 30 hours;
Research in Finance 75 hours;
Financial Accounting 30 hours;
Cost Management 30 hours;
Controllership 30 hours;
Tax Planning 30 hours;
Fixed Income and Variable Income Market 45 hours;
Final Course Project (TCP) 60 hours.

Enrollment for the free online postgraduate program at the Federal Institute can only be done online, accessing the enrollment system between November 26 and January 10. Those interested in enrolling must access the enrollment system on the IFES website. The registration fee will be R$ 80 reais.

According to the resolution of the IFES superior council, of the total of 40 spots in the free course offered, 10 spots will be reserved for black, mixed-race, or indigenous people (PPI) and 2 spots for people with disabilities (PcD) aiming to meet the affirmative action policy of the Postgraduate Program.

It is important to highlight that this free online postgraduate program at the Federal Institute is aimed at those who wish to enhance their skills in financial planning and control, supporting managerial decision-making in organizations, with the goal of standing out in the job market and taking on leadership roles in corporate finance.

Selection Process Stages

The selection process will be managed by the Selection Committee, composed of staff from the Institute, appointed through Ordinance No. 208, of September 5, 2024, from IFES Linhares campus. The selection process will consist of two stages: the analysis of resumes and professional experience, both worth 100 points.

Announcement

The resume analysis will consist of the evaluation of supporting documents, according to criteria established in the Announcement. The deadline for appeals regarding the Resume Analysis will follow the schedule of the selection process, with the announcement of the final results to be made available on the IFES website. The disclosure of the final result of the selection process is scheduled for March 7, 2025.
