The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Maranhão (IFMA) announced a new public competition with new vacancies for teachers. The competition from the Federal Institute is aimed at hiring substitute teachers for the Basic, Technical, and Technological Education Teaching, Areas/subjects: Administration, Physical Education, and History.

The aforementioned public competition is aimed at filling 3 vacancies for the temporary hiring of a Substitute Teacher for Basic, Technical, and Technological Education. The opportunities are geared towards the Codó Campus and a reserve list will be created that may, at the discretion of the administration, be utilized by other campuses of IFMA, depending on the institution’s interest, following the hiring criteria established in the announcement.
Should vacancies arise in other units of IFMA for the same areas that were offered, the campus may choose to hold a new Federal Institute competition to fill the position.

For Administration, a bachelor’s degree in Administration or Public Management is required. For Physical Education and History, only a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and History, respectively, is required. It is worth mentioning that those approved in the Federal Institute competition will work a 40-hour shift.
Enrollment for the public competition will take place exclusively electronically on the Selection Process page on the IFMA website – Codó Campus until July 25. The application fee will be R$ 50.
It is noteworthy that those who are bone marrow donors or are registered in CadÚnico can request an exemption from the fee. At the time of registration for the Federal Institute competition, the candidate will receive the Union Payment Guide (GRU) and must make their payment at Banco do Brasil.
Selection Process for the Public Competition IFMA
The selection process will consist of two stages. The first will consist of a didactic exam of an eliminatory and classification nature. The second will be a certificate evaluation of a classificatory nature. The didactic exam will be public and consist of an expositional class on one of the topics described in the announcement. Among them are:

- People Management;
- Logistics;
- Entrepreneurship and Innovation;
- Production Administration;
- Organizational Behavior;
- Marketing Administration.
Physical Education
- Historical, Philosophical, Sociological, and Anthropological Aspects of Physical Education;
- Physical Education and Special Education;
- Legislation of Physical Education;
- Pedagogical Aspects of Corporeality in the School Environment;
- Pedagogical Trends in School Physical Education.
History
- Brazilian Prehistory: The First Inhabitants;
- Religiosity and Society in the Feudal World;
- Civilizations of the Ancient World: State, Society, and Economy;
- History in High School: Theories and Concepts;
- African Kingdoms: from the 7th Century BC to the 15th Century AD.
At the time of the Didactic Exam, the candidate must submit their updated Lattes Curriculum to the Organizing Committee, along with the supporting documentation that can be scored, duly updated and organized according to the Scoring Criteria of the Certificate Exam, as outlined in the Announcement.
Federal Institute of Maranhão Promises to Open Another Public Competition Still in 2024
In addition to the current competition at the Federal Institute of Maranhão mentioned, other vacancies will soon be opened for the hiring of professionals to assist with special educational needs in Teaching Projects, as scholars.
This will be valid for 6 months, extendable for another 5 months, at the institution’s interest, communicated to the scholar, with no extensions permitted beyond this period.
Enrollment for the Federal Institute competition will open on the 12th, and candidates must fill out an electronic form available on the institution’s website, completing all required fields and attaching, in a single file in PDF format, their documents in the following order:
- Official identification document with photo;
- Proof of military service completion, for males;
- Degree certificate or professional diploma from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education as a minimum requirement for participation;
- Proof of experience declared on the enrollment form;
- Proof of qualification declared on the enrollment form.
