The Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP) will soon open applications for 41 positions in a new public contest. The IFSP contest aims to fill opportunities in various areas such as Architecture, Arts, Biotechnology, and much more across several campuses of the institution.
Available Positions in the Federal Institute Contest and Their Requirements
The Federal Institute offers dozens of positions in its public contest. Among them are:
Electrical Engineering
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrotechnics, Technology in Electronics, Electrotechnics or Control and Automation Engineering, Technology in Industrial Automation or Technology in Electrical Systems, Renewable Energies or Telecommunications Engineering is required.

Computer Science
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Technology in Systems Analysis and Development or Technology in Computer Networks, Technology in Data Processing, Technology in Information Technology, Technology in Cyber Defense, Information Technology Management, Digital Games, Information Security Technology, Embedded Systems or Technology in Internet Systems is required.
Biotechnology
A degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocesses and Biotechnology, Biological Sciences or Bioprocess Engineering is required.
Portuguese/Sign Language
A degree in Language Arts – Portuguese/Sign Language or a degree in Language Arts – Portuguese (which can be combined with any foreign language) along with a degree in Language Arts – Sign Language (which can also be combined with another qualification) is required.
Practices in Aircraft Maintenance: Airframe, Powerplant, and Avionics
A higher education degree in any field is required. For any qualification, the Technical Qualification Certificate (CHT), issued by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) in the three categories: Airframe, Powerplant, and Avionics is required.
Arts
A degree in Artistic Education, Arts in any of the fields: Visual Arts, Plastic Arts, Music, Music Education, Theater, Performing Arts, Cinema, and Dance is required.
Register and Participate in the Federal Institute Public Contest
Applications for the contest begin on July 18 and continue until September 2 of this year. To participate in the IFSP contest, candidates must pay an application fee of R$ 190, through the Union Collection Guide (GRU Simples, exclusively at Banco do Brasil), by September 4. Applications with payment made after this date will be rejected.
Candidates from families registered in the Unified Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico) of the Federal Government, whose monthly per capita family income is less than or equal to half the national minimum wage, and candidates who are bone marrow donors in entities recognized by the Ministry of Health will be exempt from the application fee.
The exemption for the public contest application must be requested through a candidate’s request, available in the electronic application form, to be filled out between July 18 and 25.
Find Out How the Selection Process for the IFSP Contest Will Be
The vacancies for the Federal Institute contest are distributed among the campuses of Avaré, Boituva, Bragança Paulista, Cubatão, Campos do Jordão, Ilha Solteira, Itapetininga, Itaquaquecetuba, Pirituba, Miracatu, Presidente Epitácio, Registro, São Carlos, São João da Boa Vista, São Paulo, São José dos Campos, Sorocaba, Suzano, and Votuporanga. Therefore, the IFSP contest does not include the Catanduva unit.
The Federal Institute contest for teachers will have three phases: the objective test, the didactic performance test, and the title evaluation. The objective test will last four hours, with a probable application date on October 13. It is the candidate’s responsibility to follow all publications regarding the public contest.
