Chinese manufacturer bets on national production, partnership with leading marketplace, and differentiated benefits to expand participation in the competitive Brazilian smartphone sector

Jovi has taken another important step in its growth strategy in the Brazilian market. The Chinese manufacturer announced on June 1, 2026, the launch of the T1 5G, a new mid-range smartphone arriving in the country with an initial price of R$ 1,959. Additionally, the company confirmed that it is preparing to bring its premium line to Brazil, intensifying the competition with already established brands in the mobile phone segment.

The information was disclosed by the newspaper O Globo, which detailed the company’s plans to strengthen its presence in the country. According to the publication, the strategy involves not only new devices but also investments in local production, expansion of e-commerce, and additional benefits to win over Brazilian consumers.

The launch marks an important moment for Jovi. After all, the company recently completed one year of operation in Brazil and already shows greater ambitions in one of the most relevant smartphone markets in Latin America.

Jovi bets on e-commerce to accelerate growth in Brazil

To start sales of the new device, Jovi has entered into a strategic partnership with Mercado Livre, one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Latin America.

According to André Varga, Jovi’s product director, the choice reflects a change in the behavior of Brazilian consumers. Currently, a large portion of smartphone purchases takes place in virtual stores and marketplaces.

For this reason, the company decided to develop a strategy focused on the digital environment.

According to Varga, the launch of the T1 5G reinforces the brand’s expansion plan, taking advantage of the continuous growth of e-commerce in Brazil.

Furthermore, the company seeks to reach consumers in different regions of the country without relying exclusively on physical stores.

Another important differential is national manufacturing. The new smartphone will be produced in Manaus, strengthening the company’s local operation and allowing greater competitiveness in the Brazilian market.

Currently, Jovi already has a portfolio consisting of 10 smartphone models available in the country. Additionally, the brand sells the Buds Air3 earphones.

The parent company, vivo Mobile Communication, holds a leadership position in the Chinese smartphone market and is among the largest global manufacturers in the sector. Currently, the company maintains a presence in more than 60 countries.

Strategy includes extended warranty and free screen replacement

Jovi’s strategy prioritizes the growth of digital sales.

The competition for Brazilian consumers does not only happen in the technical specifications of the devices.

Therefore, Jovi also decided to invest in additional benefits to increase the attractiveness of its products.

According to the company, customers will have access to initiatives that are already gaining ground among smartphone manufacturers.

Among them is the free screen replacement for one year in certain situations.

Additionally, the company offers an extended warranty of up to four years for battery review, a strategy that seeks to convey greater confidence to the consumer.

This type of benefit is becoming increasingly important in a market where many users keep their devices for longer periods.

Consequently, factors related to durability and post-sale support have started to directly influence the purchase decision.

The T1 5G arrives in the Brazilian market positioned in the mid-range category. However, the device offers features usually found in more expensive models.

Among the main highlights is the internal storage of 256 GB.

Additionally, the smartphone features a 6.77-inch screen.

The panel offers a refresh rate of 120 Hertz, providing greater fluidity during navigation, games, and content playback.

Another differentiator is the ability to reproduce 1.07 billion colors, a feature that enhances the visual experience in videos, photos, and applications.

In the camera setup, the device has two rear cameras.

The main lens has a resolution of 50 megapixels.

The Ultra Wide camera has an 8-megapixel sensor.

On the front, the smartphone offers a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Additionally, the cameras feature optical image stabilization, a technology that reduces shakes and improves the quality of photos and recordings.

The model also allows video recording in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second.

Another highlight is the 90-watt fast charging, a feature that significantly reduces the time needed to recharge the battery.

The new T1 5G will be available in black and blue colors.

Premium line will be the next step for the Chinese manufacturer

Although the T1 5G is the brand’s main current release, Jovi’s plans go beyond the mid-range segment.

After the arrival of the new device, the company intends to officially introduce its X line in Brazil, considered the manufacturer’s super-premium category.

This smartphone family brings together the company’s most advanced products.

Among the expected features are next-generation processors, AI-based tools, and more sophisticated photographic systems.

In this way, Jovi aims to compete directly with the leading names in the premium market.

The arrival of this line also demonstrates the manufacturer’s confidence in the potential of the Brazilian market.

Additionally, it reinforces the company’s long-term strategy to expand its share in the sector.

Brazilian market continues to attract global manufacturers

Jovi’s announcement comes at a time of intense competition in the national smartphone market.

In recent years, Chinese manufacturers have significantly increased their presence in Brazil, offering devices with advanced specifications and competitive prices.

In this scenario, companies constantly seek differentiators to win over consumers.

While some focus on camera technology, others invest in artificial intelligence, design, or post-sale benefits.

Jovi seems to follow a strategy that combines several of these factors.

On one hand, it offers a smartphone with modern features and a competitive price. On the other, it invests in extended warranties, local manufacturing, and a strong presence in e-commerce.

Consequently, the company seeks to build a solid consumer base and increase its relevance in one of the continent’s most important markets.

With the launch of the T1 5G on June 1, 2026, and plans for the arrival of the X line, the Chinese manufacturer signals its intention to play an increasingly relevant role in the competition for Brazilian consumers in the coming years.

Do you believe that Chinese brands like Jovi can compete on equal footing with well-established manufacturers in the Brazilian market?
