Remote control takes aeromodelling to another level with a giant-scale Boeing 747 aircraft, retractable landing gear, smooth takeoff, and landing so realistic it fools onlookers from afar.
Remote control has gained one of its most impressive demonstrations ever recorded with the appearance of a gigantic replica of a 747, touted as the largest RC aircraft ever built. The model, over 40 feet long, equivalent to more than 12 meters, immediately drew attention on the ground for completely deviating from the traditional image of a hobby plane and approaching the visual scale of a real aircraft.
The impact wasn’t just about size. The project presented by Matt and his team also advanced in terms of detail and in-flight behavior. In a park, in front of people who stopped to observe the scene, the aircraft smoothly accelerated over the grass, took off with stability, and then returned for a controlled landing, reinforcing the impression that it was no longer a simple remote-controlled plane, but an extremely faithful reproduction of a commercial jet.
