With Everything in Favor of Macaé, the Port Law Finally Passed and Aligns with the Discovery of Pre-Salt and the Revitalization of Mature Fields in the Campos Basin
[supsystic-social-sharing id=’1′]Macaé can see itself as truly lucky because this event is akin to winning the lottery. It happens that the city’s legislators finally managed to amend the law in the city’s Urban Code, which expands industrial activities on the North side, greatly benefiting the municipality at this moment.
In the coming days, the official publication of the law will be released through a notice, which means that “the infighting” in the local legislature due to political disagreements will no longer hinder the development process and economic recovery of the city. This directly correlates with the discovery of pre-salt in the Campos Basin, which is currently in the study phase for assessing economic viability. Petrobras also reported that it will revitalize the Mature Fields in the region.
The main objective of establishing this port will be to meet the logistical demand in the oil and gas sector, given that the ANP auctions are already scheduled and there will be a high demand for work. The city also has a complete technological and operational infrastructure system.
