Automation Engineer – Systems Engineering

Job Summary: As a member of a multidisciplinary team, provide a complete automation solution (including architecture, specification, data sheets, application software, testing, and commissioning), ensuring that the project meets customer, contract, and regulatory requirements.

Some essential responsibilities:

Under limited supervision, design, document, test, and assist in delivering software components and systems for projects and products.

Interpret design requirements based on internal specifications, customer specifications, and knowledge of the product application.

When necessary, conduct detailed field research to assess interfaces between new and existing equipment.

Design automation specifications and provide engineering solutions in compliance with engineering standards.

Perform detailed software design.

Prepare and maintain testing procedures and assist in testing and troubleshooting products and systems.

Prepare and maintain associated documentation.

Review and approve engineering designs.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, automation engineering, electronics technician, electrical technician, or related field.

Proficiency in English to participate in an international project team.

Experience in automation programming languages such as Ladder Diagram, Function Block Diagram, and Structured Text.

Experience with industrial automation protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, ProfiNet, etc.

Experience in SCADA systems.

Experience in mathematical models and level 2 systems.

Experience in programming languages.

Experience in commissioning.

Conditions:

Willing to travel within the home country and abroad for short-term work. Driver’s license.

Location: Betim, Minas Gerais
