For external markets, this product is repositioned as Jaecoo 6 (or J6), retaining the “squared” body and electrified features.
Brazil: Scenario And Possibilities
For the Brazilian market, there is no official date.
In statements and interviews, the local representative of Omoda & Jaecoo has prioritized hybrid and electric launches from other lines, and in recent publications, indicated that the Jaecoo 6 would only make sense here in the REEV configuration, leaving aside the fully electric variant.
The commercial assessment is that the domestic price would be higher than in China, due to tax burdens, logistics, and potential content adjustments.
Currently, Omoda & Jaecoo’s operation in the country already involves a dedicated network and products like Omoda 5 and Jaecoo 7, which facilitates the arrival of an electrified compact utility, but the company has not yet confirmed the J6 timeline.
Competition And Positioning
With an aggressive entry price in the Chinese market and a proposal for electric with range extender, the X3L/Jaecoo 6 targets consumers looking for extended range without giving up on daily electric use.
