Mitsubishi ASX HPE 4×4 2020 Appears on the Used Car Market as a Robust Option, with a Powerful 2.0 Engine, All-Wheel Drive, and a Good Equipment Package, Drawing Attention for Its Competitive Price in the Range of R$ 90 Thousand.

The Mitsubishi ASX HPE 4×4 2020 has established itself in the used car market as a compact SUV with a different approach than most competitors.

It combines a 170 hp 2.0 flex engine, all-wheel drive, CVT transmission, and a safety package with up to 7 airbags, all of which can currently be found in the R$ 90 thousand range in many listings.

In this price bracket, it emerges as an interesting alternative for those looking for a utility vehicle with true off-road DNA and who are missing options after the end of the Pajero TR4.

History and Positioning of the Mitsubishi ASX

Launched in Brazil in 2010, the ASX was Mitsubishi’s entry-level SUV for over a decade, positioned below models like Outlander and Pajero, but maintaining a focus on robustness and, in some versions, four-wheel drive.

Throughout this period, the car underwent visual and content updates while keeping the same mechanical base and the same 2.0 flex ensemble with CVT.

While it was in production, the ASX catered to an audience seeking a compact SUV with a more off-road feel compared to urban competitors.

With the end of national production in 2021 and the arrival of the Outlander Sport as its direct successor, the model began to operate exclusively in the used car market, preserving much of its original proposal.

Mitsubishi ASX HPE 4x4 2020 offers a 2.0 engine with 170 hp, all-wheel drive, and up to 7 airbags for around R$ 90 thousand in the used car market.

For many consumers who found themselves without options after the end of the Pajero TR4, the ASX 4×4 became a natural choice, especially among those who wanted to keep all-wheel drive and occasional use on light trails, but without giving up on comfort and automatic transmission.

Prices and Availability in the Used Car Market

In the used car market, the HPE AWD 2020 version generally appears with values ranging between R$ 90 thousand and R$ 95 thousand, according to major online classifieds platforms.

In many cases, there are listings starting around R$ 90 thousand for units with higher mileage or located outside major centers.

The Fipe Table reference for the ASX 2.0 HPE AWD 2020 indicates a value close to R$ 99 thousand, which helps guide negotiations.

The average of listings in some surveys remains close to R$ 93.6 thousand, reinforcing the perception that the model is often negotiated at a certain discount compared to the listed value.

Although it has never ranked among the best-selling SUVs in the country, the ASX has accumulated relevant numbers throughout its history, ensuring a stable supply in the second-hand market.

Engine, Transmission, and Traction of the ASX HPE 4×4 2020

In terms of mechanics, the ASX HPE 4×4 2020 uses the MIVEC 2.0 flex engine, with 170 hp and 23 kgfm of torque on ethanol and 160 hp and 22 kgfm with gasoline.

The engine works with the automatic CVT transmission, which simulates six gears and prioritizes smoothness in daily use.

The all-wheel drive features electronic management, allowing the SUV to operate as a front-wheel drive vehicle most of the time, automatically activating the 4×4 mode as needed.

Mitsubishi ASX HPE 4x4 2020 offers a 2.0 engine with 170 hp, all-wheel drive, and up to 7 airbags for around R$ 90 thousand in the used car market.
Mitsubishi ASX HPE 4×4 2020 offers a 2.0 engine with 170 hp, all-wheel drive, and up to 7 airbags for around R$ 90 thousand in the used car market.

This configuration favors urban and highway use but offers additional safety on wet surfaces, dirt roads, and low-traction situations.

In dimensions, the ASX measures 4.36 meters in length, 1.77 meters in width, 1.63 meters in height, and 2.67 meters in wheelbase.

The trunk holds 415 liters, compatible with family needs.

Equipment, Interior, and Safety

Inside, the HPE 4×4 2020 version features automatic air conditioning, electric steering, and a complete electric package.

The model also offers leather seats, with electric adjustment for the driver.

The 7-inch multimedia center has integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus a rear camera.

The package includes keyless entry with push-button start and 18-inch wheels, valued items in the segment.

In terms of safety, the highlight is the seven airbags, along with stability and traction controls, tire pressure sensor, rear parking sensor, and rain and twilight sensors.

The list also includes front seats with heating, a feature still uncommon among national compact SUVs.

Mitsubishi ASX HPE 4x4 2020 offers a 2.0 engine with 170 hp, all-wheel drive, and up to 7 airbags for around R$ 90 thousand in the used car market.

Usage Profile and Audience of the ASX 4×4

While many compact SUVs focus on urban use, the ASX HPE 4×4 2020 delivers a set capable of handling dirt roads, steep slopes, and adverse weather conditions more comfortably.

The all-wheel drive, ground clearance, and mechanical robustness form an adequate combination for those alternating between city and countryside.

The ensemble with aspirated engine and CVT transmission tends to attract those seeking reliability, predictable maintenance, and versatility.

For these characteristics, the ASX HPE 4×4 2020 is likely to interest families looking for a more robust second car, drivers who travel on simple roads, and former owners of the brand’s SUVs who want to maintain all-wheel drive.

And you: between a competitive price, complete package, and 4×4 traction, does the ASX match the type of SUV you are looking for your daily life and trips?
