Municipal Guard Competitions advance in Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro, requiring high school education, with immediate vacancies and reserve registration expected, as well as salaries that can increase with bonuses, gratuities, benefits, and specific rules for each municipal career.

New opportunities in municipal public security are expected for candidates with complete high school education, especially in the competitions for the Municipal Civil Guard of Santa Maria de Jetibá, in Espírito Santo, and São Gonçalo, in Rio de Janeiro.

Considered together, the selections can exceed 1,100 opportunities, including immediate vacancies and reserve registration, a scenario that increases the expectations of candidates interested in entering the municipal public career.

In Santa Maria de Jetibá, the organization of the competition will be under the responsibility of Instituto Consulplan, which already lists the selection of the Municipal Government of Santa Maria de Jetibá/ES on its official page.

Despite the progress in organization, the notice was not yet available on the consulted page of the board, leaving pending information such as schedule, registration fee, detailed stages, and definitive program content.

The expectation around the Espírito Santo competition is explained by the expected requirement of complete high school level and the initial remuneration estimated at around R$ 3,500.

Throughout the career, bonuses, additional payments, and benefits can raise monthly earnings to values above R$ 7,000, according to information released by portals specialized in public competitions.

Municipal Guard Competition in Espírito Santo

Aimed at forming the Municipal Civil Guard of Santa Maria de Jetibá, the selection should fill positions in the Espírito Santo municipality, but participation will not be restricted to residents of Espírito Santo.

Candidates from any state will be able to compete for the vacancies, provided they meet all the requirements defined in the notice, a document that will have official validity to establish participation and convocation criteria.

Among the requirements expected for the position are high school education and a National Driver’s License, a frequent requirement in competitions aimed at municipal security and operational performance.

Even so, the accepted categories of the CNH need to be confirmed in the notice, as no rule on documentation, age, exams, or qualification will be valid before the official publication.

The forecast released by specialized sites points to 30 positions for municipal guard in Santa Maria de Jetibá, although this number still depends on confirmation in the definitive document.

In addition to the number of opportunities, the announcement will detail the reserve list, distribution of positions, call deadlines, tie-breaking criteria, possession rules, and other conditions of the competition.

Municipal Guard Salary and Expected Benefits

Among the attractions of the selection in Espírito Santo, the remuneration plays a central role for those seeking stability and the possibility of growth within the municipal public career.

The initial salary reported is around R$ 3,500, but allowances, bonuses, and benefits can significantly alter the final income received by the employee.

The composition of earnings depends on factors such as the occupied class, length of service, function performed, work schedule, and rules provided in the municipal legislation applicable to the career.

For this reason, any projected value before the publication of the announcement should be treated as a reference, especially when it involves allowances that may vary according to the functional situation.

The possibility of progression also weighs in the preparation of candidates aiming for positions in municipal security, especially when the career foresees salary evolution over the years.

However, only the announcement and local regulations can clarify how promotions, bonuses, allowances, benefits, and other advantages linked to the position of municipal guard will work.

Exams and Stages of the Municipal Guard Competition

In the selection of Santa Maria de Jetibá, the expected structure follows the standard applied in municipal public security competitions, with eliminatory and classificatory phases.

The trend is that the process includes objective test, essay, Physical Aptitude Test, medical exams, psychological evaluation, social investigation, and training course.

With multiple-choice questions, the objective test should require general knowledge, legislation, and content directly related to the performance of the Municipal Guard in serving the population.

The official program content, however, can still undergo adjustments, as subjects, number of questions, weights, and minimum score will only be defined in the announcement.

The essay usually follows specific criteria of the organizing committee and may be eliminatory, classificatory, or both, depending on the rules adopted for the competition.

In similar competitions, the correction of this stage usually reaches candidates better positioned in the objective test, but the exact rule needs to be included in the official document.

Another decisive point is the Physical Aptitude Test, a phase that assesses whether the candidate meets the minimum conditions to perform typical activities of the role.

The exercises, required indices, criteria by gender or age group, and evaluation methods still depend on confirmation by the board responsible for the competition.

São Gonçalo prepares new notice in Rio de Janeiro

In Rio de Janeiro, the São Gonçalo City Hall is also preparing a new competition to strengthen the Municipal Guard, with the expectation of expanding the corporation’s staff.

The forecast released indicates 100 immediate vacancies and a reserve register with a thousand opportunities, a quantity that may allow new calls during the validity of the competition.

According to information from the municipality, the new agents should join the armed group of the Municipal Guard after undergoing the required training for the role.

The rule on carrying weapons, however, does not apply to the old members of the so-called GM1, as the city hall informed when discussing the new statute of the corporation.

Currently, São Gonçalo has 301 municipal guards, according to data released by the municipal administration in communications about the career restructuring.

With the new statute, the city hall foresees the possibility of the staff reaching 400 agents, in addition to expanding promotion rules and organizing the career and salary plan.

Remuneration of the Municipal Guard of São Gonçalo

For the initial position of 2nd class guard, the São Gonçalo City Hall reports a base salary of R$ 3,172.96, an amount defined within the new career structure.

In addition to the salary, the remuneration may include an additional 30% hazard pay, transportation allowance, and a weapon carrying bonus, when the server meets the required criteria.

With these components, earnings can reach about R$ 5,123, according to data released by the municipality when presenting changes to the Municipal Guard statute.

The expected work schedule for the category is 40 hours per week or on-call duty, according to the career and salary plan informed by the city hall.

Entry occurs in the initial position, with a minimum requirement of high school education, while salary progression is linked to service time and career rules.

The Additional Service Regime was also created, along with bonuses, allowances, and indemnities with their own criteria, measures that impact the functional organization of the corporation.

These norms help structure the career in São Gonçalo but do not replace the notice of the next competition, which should gather all the selection rules.

Municipal Guard Notice will define rules for candidates

In both municipalities, the publication of the notices will be crucial for candidates to confirm requirements, deadlines, documentation, evaluation stages, and participation conditions.

Requirements such as minimum age, driver’s license, medical exams, psychological evaluation, social investigation, and physical fitness criteria need to be explicitly stated in the official documents.

The notices will also be responsible for confirming the number of vacancies, registration fee, program content, minimum score, tie-breaking criteria, and rules for calling the approved candidates.

Until the official announcement, the information already known serves as an initial preparation base, but does not replace the rules that will be published by the boards and city halls.

How to register for the Municipal Guard contest

For the selection in Santa Maria de Jetibá, registrations must be made on the Instituto Consulplan website, responsible for organizing the Municipal Civil Guard contest.

In São Gonçalo, the organizing board still needs to be defined, and the registration period will only be informed after the publication of the new contest notice.
