Brazilian Air Force Opens Selective Process Without Public Competition, Offering Various Opportunities for Professionals in Technical Areas, Health, and Much More. Learn How to Participate in This Unique Chance.

The Brazilian Air Force, one of the branches of the Armed Forces of Brazil, has new opportunities available for professionals from various fields, offering a unique chance for those who wish to serve temporarily without the need for a public competition.

The Air Force Command recently announced the opening of a Selective Process for the call of higher education professionals, aimed at the provision of Temporary Military Service during the years 2025 and 2026.

Requirements for Participation in the Selective Process

To apply for the Selective Process, candidates must meet several essential conditions.

Among the main requirements, the age limit stands out: candidates must not have turned 41 by the date of incorporation.

In addition, it is necessary to be a natural Brazilian and meet the specific requirements of each professional area.

These criteria are fundamental to ensure that candidates are capable of meeting the physical and technical requirements of the Temporary Military Service.

Furthermore, the candidate must hold a higher education degree in the area they wish to apply for, as long as they meet the specific needs of each specialty.

Stages of the Selective Process

The Air Force Selective Process will consist of several stages aimed at evaluating the candidates’ competencies in a broad and detailed manner.

The phases of the process include:

  1. Document Submission (DS)
  2. Document Validation (DV)
  3. Curriculum Evaluation (CE)
  4. Initial Concentration (IC)
  5. Health Inspection (INSPSAU)
  6. Physical Conditioning Assessment Test (PCAT)
  7. Final Concentration and Qualification for Incorporation (FC)

Each of these stages plays a fundamental role in the selection process, which seeks to ensure that candidates are fully prepared for the demands of the Air Force.

Physical Conditioning Assessment Test (PCAT)

One of the most challenging phases for candidates is the Physical Conditioning Assessment Test (PCAT), which tests candidates’ physical capacity in specific situations.

The tests include exercises such as push-ups, sit-ups, and endurance runs, which are adjusted according to the participants’ gender.

For male candidates, the minimum requirements include:

  • 13 repetitions of push-ups.
  • 25 repetitions of sit-ups.
  • Run 1,900 meters in 12 minutes.

For female candidates, the requirements are lighter but equally demanding:

  • 9 repetitions of push-ups.
  • 15 repetitions of sit-ups.
  • Run 1,600 meters in 12 minutes.

This test is essential for assessing physical readiness, which is one of the requirements for temporary military service.

Available Positions in Various Areas

The positions for the Air Force Selective Process cover a wide variety of areas, ranging from health-related professions to fields like engineering and communication.

The opportunities are divided among the following branches of the Air Force:

Reserve Officers of the 2nd Class Called (QOCon Tec) – With vacancies in various fields, such as Administration, Civil Engineering, Psychology, Nursing, Nutrition, and even areas like Museology and Advertising.

Reserve Officers of the 2nd Class Called (QOCon Tec Mag) – Here, the openings are for higher and middle education areas, including Philosophy, Geography, Mathematics, and Sociology.

Reserve Officers of the 2nd Class Called (QOCon FDV) – For health professionals, such as dentists, pharmacists, and veterinarians, with specific vacancies for different specialties throughout Brazil.

These positions are distributed across various locations, allowing candidates from different regions of Brazil to participate.

The specialties in each area also vary, ensuring a wide range of options for interested professionals.

    Additional Requirements for Specific Areas

For some areas, especially those related to security and defense, there are additional requirements that candidates must meet.

For example, to enter the security and defense vacancies (SED), it is necessary to have previously completed the Reserve Officers Training Course (CFOR), provided by the Brazilian Army.

This course must have been completed within the last 12 years and is a fundamental requirement to ensure that candidates have the necessary training to perform functions within the Air Force.

How to Become Part of the Air Force?

Interested parties must complete the electronic registration on the official Air Force website, accessible at https://convocacaotemporarios.fab.mil.br.

The registration window will be open until 11:59 PM on April 23.

The selective process is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to join the Air Force team without going through a traditional public competition.

Once registered, the candidate will need to wait for the subsequent stages of the selective process, which, as described, include a series of evaluations.

Only candidates who pass all stages will be qualified to proceed with the incorporation process into the Air Force.
