Minister Announces INSS Exam With 600 Positions For Medical Expert, Scheduled For Next Year.

Carlos Lupi, Minister of Social Security, announced in an interview with Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC) on Wednesday (22) that the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) plans to hold an exam for the position of medical expert in 2024. According to the minister, the expectation is that the competition will take place between March and April of next year, as revealed during the program “Good Morning, Minister”. This initiative aims to strengthen the INSS team and improve services provided to citizens.

According to Lupi, the new INSS exam will offer between 650 and 660 immediate positions. These new experts will be called across Brazil, for regions that need them. “There is no point in holding the exam just to find a patron for capitals that do not require it.”

Those who take the Social Security exam must stay for at least 10 years in their original agency. On this occasion, the minister also spoke about the appointment of the 1,800 approved candidates in the reserve list from the last INSS exam last year. According to the minister, the expectation is that all, if not most, of this reserve list will be called in 2024.

He also emphasized that the appointment will be based on the allocation of the 250 approved candidates, whose appointment was authorized in September of this year. Those appointed in the selection will receive an initial salary of R$ 5,905.79, composed of a basic salary of R$ 712.61 plus an executive activity bonus of R$ 1,140.18 and a performance bonus for social security activities of up to R$ 3,595. Candidates will also be entitled to a food allowance of R$ 458.
